Hello Gang,
Server Bounderins and town seem to lag me up badly. Server bounderies especially I can be frozen for 5-25 seconds any one able to give me some ideas as how to tweak my office machine to run this game better?

Other mmo games run fine, no problems at all. Firstperson shooters same thing. Only have problem with Vanguard. Hmm cant load my dxdiag to large.....

Re: optimization

Your office computer has a 1950? Sweet!

I'm assuming by server boundaries, you're talking about chunk lines

My first suggestion is to go in your .ini and make "UseSound" equal false, then try playing and see if that helps a great deal.

What detail level/texture level are you playing at? Lowering the texture level can help your HD not have to load so many new assets at chunk.

Re: optimization

I have 2.5 gigs of ram, and an AMD dual core 4400 processor and I only have to wait like 2 secs at chunklines, with settings on Highest Quality. With my old machine I only had 1 gig of ram and I can't remember what processor but it wasn't a dual core and even on Balanced my chunk times were right up there with yours.

Other than the previous post, If you don't mind buying some hardware, I'd get another Gig of ram first, before the processor as ram is cheaper than a dual core processor.

TigerDirect.com is a good place to buy parts, reasonable price and fast delivery, never had a problem with any of their hardware. Just thought I'd throw that out there. :P
