Constant CTDs!
I don't know if this is to do with the DroxUI or if it's an issue anyway but after I decided to update the version of DroxUI to the latest version, I started getting CTDs. I rebooted, and deleted the contents of the cache folder in the Vanguard directory, but this has made no difference. As soon as I log into the game (sometimes I don't even get to log in... the launchpad CTD twice on me) or shortly after, the game CTD. So I reverted back to the old version of DroxUI but it made no difference. I even went and deleted DroxUI completely, switched back to the default UI but no difference. Any ideas?

Re: Contant CTDs!
![]() I'm still having problems. I had to do a re-install because the launcher kept crashing and I couldn't even get in the game. I downloaded all the files from SOE (the EU version of these files) and then tried to install. But right in the middle of the installation, it crashes. I get a crash dialog from Microsoft saying it needs to close and would I send the error report, bla blah blah. It's happened every time. What can I do? I keep thinking it's the new RAM stick... as I get random crashing and a restart about once per day. I was getting a lot of restarts before so I moved my new RAM stick to a different slot which helped but I can't place my finger on this problem. Later I'm going to take out the new RAM stick, but I'm reluctant because I like having the extra memory. ![]() |

Re: Contant CTDs!
Not sure, I'm going to see what warranty came with it, but I'm not sure if it's because the RAM is bad or if it's because my mobo is being a biatch when it comes to installing RAM in dual channel... that's if it's a RAM related problem.

Re: Contant CTDs!
Well I had 1GB on one stick, so single channel works fine. I have the RAM sticks in slots 1 & 3 which the manual says is correct. It says I can either have it in slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 3 or 1 & 2 & 3 for dual channel to work. I may try putting them into slots 2 & 3 also to see if that works better. From what I gather from the manual, my mobo supports PC3200 up to 1GB per slot (3GB total) so if swapping them around does not fix the problem then I don't know what else to do other than hoping the warranty is still in place.
