Well I've stopped using the Omega drivers because they screwed up the concept artwork on the loading screens.

I saw that you'd stopped, Pixie -- and it's emblematic of the "YMMV" thing, heh. For my card & setup the Omega drivers have been nothing but good, clearing up a load of problems I used to have with the Catalyst drivers. For others, it does the opposite.

Geesh, what would we all do all day without our computers to keep us puzzled?

That aside, maybe the real geeks will be able to point non-Omega/ATI tray tools folks towards something that would allow them to force pixel shader 2.0 on? I *still* haven't had a CTD... (ok, I've only played a few hours more... but to go an entire day without crashing isn't something I've seen since early beta 3). Or can that Tray Tools thing be used on its own?

Have you changed the option in the .ini? You can tell it UseShaderModel3=False should do that as well.

Hah no, I didn't... I remembered seeing it as an option in the tray tools and just zoomed right over there to do it. Me and ini files... I just do what smarter people tell me on those.

After weeks of not getting any. This last 1-2 patches seems to have reintroduced the CTD for me. I got at least 3 and then I think I fourth if I recall correctly. The last one I simply decided it was time for bed. Hope it gets resolved quickly.

Just got divorced. Shes not gone yet, but in about 2 weeks I will be where you thought that idea was going. Believe it or not, even as the divorce is final, I'm not in that boat yet.
