Feb15 Patch - New textures going black with 'torch' bug?
Ever since the Feb 15th patch I noticed that if I hit the torch button (k, for me) the character becomes a pure black silohette. It seems like all his textures poof. They come back when I turn off the torch.
I suspect it has something to do with lighting and shading because if I leave it on, it will cycle at times (on/off) as I run through different 'lightings' Note I never had this problem before this patch. BFG 7900GTXoc, 2GB Ram, AMD 4800+ Dual core (pre AM2), NVidia Drivers 93.71 (not recently upgraded - same ones since beta that I've used) My other pc is a low end AMD2100+ with an ATI x850XT and does not have this problem, so it is either Nvidia-related or my specific gpu or my system got an anomaly at a coincidental time. Any directories (shader temp files or what have you - I have no clue) to clean out etc? Anyone else seen this before or after the patch? Was it fixed somehow?

Sometimes I get a similar problem. Graphics don't load and look solid white, walls roofs, tents, things like that. I can mess with all settings independently and nothing will help it. If I change the settings from High quality to balanced and back again, that corrects everything. Pretty weird, it doesn't happen a lot just now and again.
Oh and I nearly forgot. Putting my torch on, makes the graphics load, but turning it off brings them white again. |

I suspect that the switching modes does a cleanup of the cache dir for you.
Deleting the cache as I suspected (and Nil said!) 'fixed' it. However I am nearly 100% sure it happened one more time, not 100% sure tho, so not doing anything other than observing to verify if it happens again. What bothered me is 'nothing changed' except the patch. So perhaps they made some backward-incompatible change in the shader cache format... not sure. Also btw, speaking of changes - did my buttons and chat colors get messed up after yesterday's patch? Im pretty sure it did. Also I noted 2 of my toons having the face mess up AGAIN (was gone for a while!!!!)
