Re: Memory leak?
I tried leaving the CacheSizeMegs option alone in the sysconfig.ini alone (leaving it at 32), and I haven't had a CTD since. Hopefully that's it, but it'll take more than a half hour of playing before I decide it's fixed.

Re: Memory leak?
I'm still getting regular CTDs but as I've said elsewhere, I live with it. Much /flushing helps, so I suspect it has as much to do with my crappy card as with the client itself.
Nil, I thought the sysconfig file reset itself every time you run the client anyway? I tried changing the cache size there once or twice but since it didn't stick past the current session, I stopped bothering. <---- lazy ![]()

Now, at 32, it's still running pretty well. What is your card?

Re: Memory leak?
*looks shifty and mildly ashamed*
An ATI x1300Pro. We cut corners when hubby and I built new rigs this time last year - we knew we were doing it, but when you have to buy 2 systems at once on our budget you have to cut corners somewhere. We figured we'd wait and see what Vanguard really needed to run - and we're still waiting, mainly because we're broke right now. ![]() That said, Vanguard is perfectly playable for me, even with Mr Pooey card. Sure I CTD a lot, especially if I don't /flush, but I average 15-30FPS in most places (with the various system and ini tweaks one can do) on average-good settings. I'm quite content. ![]()
