I'm sure you can. Be sure you do get in there and tweak your .ini file. It can make a big difference. That, and defragging - alot. This game is killer on harddrives.

And I couldn't find one available for shipping to Canada either. Oy.

Aye I did tweak the ini file and defraged. I do get a steady 25-35FPS most of the time so guess I can't complain.

It should be mentioned that I only find it playable for soloing in the wilderness and in caves and goofing around in small towns. But I think the 9500 is the weakest shader 2.0 card by ATI? So it can only get better than that.

I only ask because the power per dollar ratio on the X1600 isn't that great. You can stretch your money farther.

That said, it'll still do a decent job on Vanguard.

Athlon xp 3000+

Nvidia 6600

1 gig DDR 400

So can I run the game on balance or should I run it on lowest settings to have some decent fps ?

I think balanced will be beyond your rig. Assuming that's a vanilla 6600 (i.e., not a GT), then your card is slightly worse than my 1600pro, and you've got half the ram (we have the same processor).

I have to run on high performance (a step below balanced) and even then the FPS isn't the greatest.

If you can find the budget, upping your ram to 2gb will really make a difference.

yeah,the card is Nvidia 6600 with 256mb and there`s no LE or GS or GT
