Necro Grafts (Thestran Human)

I have been trying to get a viable necor graft for 6 levels now, with no success... I have a friend who made a dark elf necro, and had 2 by the time he was level 11, spoke with several other necro's who all had 2 or 3 in a relatively quick amount of time... I had a quest that was bugged where I had to use a dagger to simulate necropisity(sp) and gather bone, muscle, skin, heart, and finally a brain, but the quest was bugged on the btrain part, and I abandoned the quest, thinking if I needed it, I could just get it again when it was finally fixed. I am now thinking maybe I need the quest tag or something to be able to aquire workable grafts as a thresan human. I went back, and tried to get the quest again, but none of the npc's in the chain for that particular quest have nothing for me... Please, any advice on this would be greatly appreciated as I am hittign levels of frustration on this thats making me want to just abandong the necro class. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know if my concerns are warranted? I mean, level 16, and not one working graft seems a bit extreme where other necros have several to chose from by level 11 or 12...
Anxiously awaiting some form of response from someone who knows... Anyone not done this quest and still gotten grafts? Anyone else having this kind of horrible luck? or is the character bugged?

The brains quest is broke. There are discussions about some other broken necro items and grafts at vgnecro.com you may want to look at.

As for grafts, I had quite a few at 11-12. I'm now 20 and don't seem to get as many and the ones I do get don't seem to work.

At level 10 you get the Necropsy spell which you need to use on every corpse. Set a macro to loot and cast the spell and you should start to find them.

The blade is fine until level 10 and you should get a couple of grafts just make sure you use it all the time. Again set a macro to make it easier.

Yes, I have been using Necropsy on every corpse since I dinged 10, thatst he problem, not one graft since now at level 16 and rising lol Will check out the vgnecro.com site, was hoping to spread this around as much as possible so get an answer to this problem as I am on the verge of thinking the character is bugged and not worth even playing further.

I have not gotten a graft for three weeks. No idea if there are special mobs that it's more effective on or if it's broken.

The only suggestion I really have is you must be religious about necropsy.

That's not to say that in group you should necropsy everything killed. The tanks and group aren't big fans of standing around and it's impolite.

Necropsy does not appear to be broken.

Over the past week (I have no idea how many times I've cast necropsy) I have found 16 grafts: 14 blue and 2 yellow. Yesterday alone I got 2 back to back.

Keep trying, you'll get them.

As a Thestran Human Necromancer I never did the "Brains" Quest. I just waited until lvl 10 and when I got the Necropcy spell I used it on every courpse I have come accross, not just ones me or my party has killed off. Now this dosen't always work but you may be suprised what other people leave behind.
