Just rolled a Monk on Qalia last night
Oh MAN do I kick ass! I was killing stuff a level above me in 2-5 hits! Crazyness!
However I'm afraid that once I break Level 10, it will go the way of the warrior where I get less effective overall. Currently I've messed with handwraps and bladestaffs (cresent staff at the moment), though I think I'll stick with a hand to hand weapon for the fun of it, perhaps.

I get the feeling that levels 1-10 are the easy ride levels for all classes so that we can get to know them; most of the content is solo at those levels.
But, yes, monk is fun when you can fight one-on-one. I look forward to feign death so that I can recover from my sloppy pulls.

will ther be an adjust for monks in near future?
since last patch splitpull isnt anymore possible only if bugged mobs camp u sometimes. so i really would like to know whats monk for atm in a grp? ok he can dps but by far not so good like rouges rangers, and if i go dragon style means i want do dps right? i have no buff for grps beside jin surge which is good used at right time especially on dots but thats not a point to take a monk in grp. we miss an energy bar and our skills cost alot endurance, imo i play my monk really good but i have to boost myself to get good dps a ranger or rouge can relax and reaches same dps. got any ideas how they could improve the monk class? since thers no more splitpull imo its an useless class atm, and i dont want play monk to FD in a bad situation with the rezz stone rdy thats definitely not why i started a monk.. |

All the classes from what I can tell are pretty easy and powerful the first 10 levels. I tried a monk and you did feel powerful those first levels. Simply because you kill the mobs fast. But when you get past 10ish your pretty durn fragile :P
