You've heard from her in the forums, on occasion. You've seen pictures of her with the other GMs in the past. She is the Lady's special helper and all-around good egg...
*ducks*...,and she has consented to this interview with me. And no, I wouldn't pullet your leg!
(sorry...just couldn't help myself!)
Let's greet
Suzanne Owen with a hearty round of HUZAAs and quit beating around the bush, shall we?
*grabs the candy dish and makes ready for some small talk*
Q: You have also been in MMORPGs for a long time, and in customer service. What is it you like about it that holds you here?
Hmmm, I guess it is the gamers. I love meeting people from all over the world, and seeing the one thing they all have in common which is love of the game. Being in customer support means being a part of a team; I really enjoy working in that type of environment. Each one of us brings something unique to the team and it’s great to see how it all comes together.
*points to the vanishing candy and wimpers, only to see Keejay shake her head NO and whisper, "Not that!" oh well...I tried! Continuing....*
Q: You, Tage and Daegarmo are the "old timers" in the Pit now! How do you handle it?
Not really much to handle. I have worked with
Elionia, Dae, Tage and
Djembe in the past. So it all just seems very natural.
Q: Is there a specific function that you do?
My main assignment is working with the
Crimson Fellowship. But, I also assist with Beta invitations; take lots of the screenshots that are released, help with demos, answer email and get on server when I am able.
Q: All GMs seem to have avatars they are partial to. Is there a specific character you like to play?
Why Chicken of course! But, when I am not in my feathery form, KJ is a Wood Elf.
Q: At SoE, the Muppets seemed to rule the Pit! Has Sigil's group adopted anything besides the candy bowl?

Q: True, but with Vlad running around, and him being so cute and huggable, what's the biggest challenge dealing with him? (and yes, you may consider this a trick question, but I sure wouldn't ask Dae this one!) /giggle
Well it is true that Vlad is a handy Gnome to have on hand. I think the biggest challenge is that he helps everyone, and when *I* need him to help me he is off somewhere else. I guess I can’t blame Vlad for that!
Q: And is it true that people keep hiding Glip's pants...still? Or does he stay out of the Pit area totally?
Glip visits the pit occasionally. But, thankfully I have never seen him pantless!
Q: True to form, a closing question: What words of wisdom have you for budding Customer Service members?
Being in MMORPG Customer Support is a unique and rewarding experience. But, it is a roller coaster experience everyday. You never know what hat you are going to be wearing when you come to work that day. I recently saw a survey that asked what is your dream job? If you could leave your current job and do anything you wanted what would you do? The only thing that came to my mind, is why would I want to do that!
...good question! I'm sure all of us have fantisized about being a GM at one time or other. Thanks, Keejay!
