Have you chosen a guild?

We all have seen the influx of pre-release guilds. With release days away, the new poll for this week centers around this question: have you chosen a guild yet?

I definately plan on finding a guild later on, preferably one that matches my playstyle and sense of humor - but for now I'm sticking close to a few of my friends from other games that want to band together in Vanguard. We might form our own guild or join someone else's... Not too sure right now. Cool poll, though. I'm sure it's on a lot of yall's minds.

My situation is almost ver batim what yours is, Exum. There are a few friends from EQ2 that are/were (I don't know anymore!) going to play Vanguard as well. We were going to either start a guild or join one together after we'd explored a while.

Alas, they're all into raiding in EQ2 right now (not my cup of tea atm with a 1 yr old running me ragged).

Oh well, we'll see where the winds take me.

Part of my old guild is moving over and setting up a chapter in Vanguard. We will be recruiting once we know just how many are coming over. We are a fussy bunch and very careful who we take into our guild as we are determined to keep the family atmosphere.

Haven't made my mind yet. Some of the guilds that have put adds here seem nice and from what it seems Vanguard is I will have to join one. A game built mainly for groups to take the most out of it seems to require a good guild. I am looking for a guild with friendly atmosphere, where members are there to help each other. It would be nice to be EU based since play times are easier to match. I would like to be in a guild in which the role play is a must and that relationships between characters can be developed so that stories arise binding the members even more. I am mostly a casual player and a not so experienced one (WoW is my only experience). Roaming through Telon in order to enjoy it is my main goal. Hope to be able to find a nice group of ppl who share this view.

I won't join any guild untill I'm at least level 15 becuase when I'm level 15 I know what way I want my character to go and what I want out of a guild. Might make a guild with a couple of mates and grab people online to match the way we play, I like small guilds of no more than 40 people, in one in EVE that had 5000 players way to hard to organize things, altho a 500 strong group was fun

I plan on starting a guild as soon as I can. I've been in some great guilds/clubs over time, and it is always a high priority to get in a fun one....figured why not start it myself. Have a little experience running them at least.

I havent yet chosen a guild, because Im not sure which of my friends will be coming over to Vanguard. Ill definately be on Flamehammer, because the name Flamehammer has a lot of significance to a large group of my friends from other MMO's and Im assuming that I may bump into quite a few of them that chose that name for their server. Baring any unforseen complications, Ill be taking up the name that I used for my main on every other game, so that people I know can contact me in game easily.

Edit: I decided along with a friend of mine that we would make our own guild on Flamehammer, please feel free to contact me. I have started 2 guilds now, this will be my third. Its quite a bit of hard work to make a guild that lasts, but its really worth it in the end, when you can step away from a guild that you started, then come back 6 months to a year later and still see the guild thriving =D.

My old guild from SWG is moving over to Vanguard. I haven't been in a game with them for quite a while, maybe 2 years. They moved from SWG over to WoW. I couldn't play with them though as they are all from the USA, more or less and I'm from the UK. Wow messed up the servers and wouldn't let us play together.

It should be nice to get back into a game with them all and I'm really looking forward to it. I just hope my Ping isn't to high with me being in the UK and playing on a US server.

I'm also thinking of rolling a character on the RP server. I've become really keen on Role-playing over the last few years. So I may be looking for a Role-play Guild as well.
