What OS would you play Vanguard on?

I'll be using xp and switiching to Vista upon release.

I just bought a new system and slapped on XP Home. I have heard bits and peices of Vista but have lived in a bubble. Is it anywhere close to coming out? I remember news of it slipping some.

Of course there is the question of how stable Vista will be upon release. I tend to shy away from these things for a while to make sure.

XP at first I think. Although I have to buy a new motherboard anyway, to play Vanguard, I could buy Vista with it. With the purchase of a new motherboard its probably possible to buy an OEM version of Vista, which are way cheaper.

Windows just announced that Vista release will be delayed in Europe, for legal issues. And they announced the prices this week too. Its basically changing of $ for € and than add an extra 10% :P If you take into account that we get less support and service, you can safely say we have sore bums form all the.......

Business release is slated for Nov last I heard. Consumer release is Q1 2007.

Not that I've heard but I havent gone looking. I would be surprised if pricing wasnt available by now since its only a few months off.

Prices on Amazon are higher than posted here. Don't know why, but perhaps tax or something? Anyway doesnt matter that much, just check the sources and figure out yourself which source is right and why.
