Are you an MMO refugee?

It seems like the Vanguard community has an extremely large population of people who feel like refugees just waiting for the life raft to take them away to a better place. Does this apply to you? If so which game are you a refugee of?

Btw Vanguard will start high like Rizom did or EQ2 did but lets see after how many will rest ( i hope a lot )
But its still clear that MMORPG are strictly based on financial head and dont care of creativity. They just replay the market wanted and its all. Vanguard as Brad Mac Quaid said come from bases RPG games witch where created before EQ ( dont remember exactly the type name ) and he want to do new things , new heading while RESPECTING players and their wanted things. So yes he will get a lot of MMO refugees. But i hope VG will do the same education of MMORPG he done to me.On EQ I have learn respect of peeps ( i am 43 and played with 18-23 players with a maturity in fairplay, respect and fun witch is rare on the net ), i have learn patience ingame, i have learn the fear of the unknown, learn that passing hours to hours camping a mob for Epic to get a virtual thing that look so poor as my chanty epic staff or the cleric epic weap friend can give you a huge satisfaction of a job well done and you go after that to the bed with the sensation to be a Hero !
Yes there will be a lot of distressed player in Vanguard, i hope a lot and i hope they will get the fun of their life playing Vanguard with us

I used to play "EverQuest" a whole lot but finally quit the game back in like April or May of 2005 and have only recently played because of a 21 day reactivation they gave me. Still don't think I will start paying for the game again though.

I recently cancelled my subscription to EQ1..got tired of the lack of caring about the players on their part. Can't wait for Vanguard to start up

It seems there are a couple of people who didn't read the instuctions when they participated in the poll as the numbers don't seem quite right. If it's 0% for the first choice then the second choice should be 100% but it doesn't. So um the poll is all funny now.

well I can't speak for everone, but I don't even try to log into my mmorpg anymore so I can't see how I should check that box.

I miss playing EQ. However, the game I miss playing no longer exists, so in a sense, I am a refugee. I cannot wait until I can register my name It will be wonderful.

My message is this. 1) Hi all this is post number one. 2) I am playing WoW at the moment and the content and the queue is deterring my play time drastically, and I am hoping that vangaurd does not fail. I am new to this format of game play and do enjoy the aspect of it, but I am not sure this has any factor to my role in the game, I cant wait to try some of the classes and races. As for what I have read on the game having so many choices and combinations I am very intrigued in trying some out. And it seems I will have plenty of time to read up on everything being the game is not due out for some time.
Ok. my first post, not sure if this was a good place for my first. I will be doing some research on your very informative site, and am glad I found it.
