Copy in progress
Been unpleased with the server stability the last few months so Im currently copying the website over to a new box with more RAM, CPU and a better disk system. As a result the site will be slow for the remainder of the night as the data transfer occurs. That said, I'll be happier since I wont have to keep a constant eye on the site 24x7 to make sure its running smoothly.

Migration to the new site is complete. It'll be a few hours before things settle down from the migration process. There are quite a number of processes that are trying to catch up on the new system such as log parsers etc. I'll also be fine tunning the configuration of the new server to speed things up as well. If you notice anything broken or not working properly, please send me a private message and I'll look into it. Thanks.

No private messages as of this morning so I guess things are running smoothly. There was a DNS issue for about 24 hours that affected those crazy people who just use http://vanguardspheres.com instead of the traditional http://www.vanguardspheres.com but that has been resolved as of this morning.

Will be having one final outage tonight in about an hour to upgrade the raid card in our new server. Disk access was feeling sluggish to me and my provider confirmed that to be a result of the configuration of my RAID card. I've completed hardening of the server and upgrade of the server and site software so we should be rock solid starting this weekend again.
