Vanguard Review on TV?

Well, close! Vanguard is officially one week old? What do you think?

We have a "TV spot" that has been done as a review of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, sent to us by Steven. Right now, that's about all we know of the fledging reporter, but I think if you watch the three minute spot he did (and he says he was nervous!), you'll see that this is what makes a Vanguard junkie!

If you like podcasts, Mikael, of Teloncast.com, is still cranking them out! iTunes has pushed him into the top 100 in the gaming and hobbies section! You can check out the fifth in a continuing series, right here, and tell him Vanguard Spheres sent you!

If you're looking for information about spells, Kethra recently completed the cleric up to level 50 and is working on sorcerer now. She's at 25 currently, so if you have anything to contribute, bring it on! She's been working overtime, and I know she'd LOVE the assist!

Heh, the reviewer said "extremely polished production", and that after beta the "bugs seemed to vanish", as well as a few other things I think border line false information... Just makes me wonder is all...

It's an opinion. Not really false information. It's the game as he saw it.

Let Steven have his and respect that. We don't know what system he saw it on or what presentation was with it. And, for people who were in beta in 2.5 and even 4, a lot of bugs did seem to just disappear at launch!

SO, cool thy jets and let folks have their say. Even after a patch tonite (bar some wierdness that happened), it ran smoother!

I'm not sure he was playing the same game I'm playing. "Bugs vanish"? Is he kidding? "Seamless world, no loading times", again, is he kidding?

Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but that was a serious piece of propaganda. The game as a multitude of bugs still, some of which are not just annoying, but showstoppers for some. And seamless, no load times? I guess maybe he stayed in one chunk then, cause unless I'm the only person in the area (and even then), there are load times, sometimes significant.

I know all of these things will be fixed in due time, that's why I'm still playing, but this "opinion" is misleading at best for someone who hasn't played the game yet.

I hope we can reach a point where this spot is accurate, but we're not there yet.

He's totally independent. It's HIS review. SoE hasn't got a clue (and we'll leave it at that for sake of argument, m'kay?) or input in what he's done. Yes, they do the best job of game marketing around, but Steven isn't part of it. He's done the same for other games, and will be doing writeups about VSoH every so often.

Yes, the game still has a ways to go. Yes, it's already come a LONG way in a short time and shocked a LOT of ppl in doing so! Yes, there are computers that run it better than others and YES, cut the guy some slack! It's his opinion, so....BE NICE!

She's just trying to clarify that the guy who did this video is a fan just like anyone else. He doesn't work for Sigil or SOE. People are making comments about the folks doing the marketing and it needed to be cleared up.
