Release Day is Finally here!

This is a big day for Vanguard! For those who have been following this game since its inception, this has been a long time coming. For those new fans as well as old hats, it's an opening to a new world of adventure and exploration. A new world of freedom.

SAN DIEGO, CA – JANUARY 30, 2007 - Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) and Sigil Games Online announced today that the hotly anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes™, is now available at retail outlets across North America and Europe. The game is also offered for digital download at www.station.com.

If you've tried to access the Vanguard website at www.vanguardsoh.com recently, you've probably noticed that it now redirects you to Vanguard Station Players, the new community site for Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. You can still view the familiar Picture of the Day and Sigil Employee Spotlight alongside other tools brought to you by SOE.

At this time all US Servers have their characters and guilds available. The European Servers will be accessible through the service later today.

A Website and Forum for every guild is also available at no additional cost should you wish to use it. These will be opened up later today for guild leaders to configure.

hehe you just locked the ohter thread on this before i could post. This looks very interesting lots of areas for guilds epeen to shine :-). Sadly I dont see my guild on it I guess we need to max out one area to get our name known! I am very curious to see how this site plays out.

Ooo I'm liking it, now if I could only figure out how to do some things with the site :P

Like is there a way to have my 2 main characters visible but hide my alts?? I can restrict the alts profiles but I can't figure out a way to disable the "Alts" listing page that is linked from the Profile page. Not that I really care but I prefer not to display characters I haven't worked on yet :P

They're still updating/tweaking things. If it's anything like EQ2players, you can restrict anyone from seeing your alts, and it's based on each character profile. I just tried to login but it's undergoing some more maintenance right now.

Ya I was playing around with it until they took it down :P

My guess is they will be fixing the Automatic Screenshots option being defaulted to 'on' since that was causing a wee bit of a fuss over on SV, hehe.

I went to check out station players and its under maintance still, I know tho I'm in for trouble as when I was looking at that pic I was thinking I make make that jump.
