The servers will probably be brought down, assigned names, and not made live again until all the live updates and such happen. That will take some time, and I'm guessing they're looking at almost a week to get things turned around. The ones that get on 3 days early could be a "scouting party" to let them know if something is amiss...dunno...just a guess.

I thought they were on there "own" or some other server farm other than Sony's until release?

Am I mistaken in that?

Yeah. Beta servers are currently at Sony at the moment as well. But the beta servers aren't the live servers.

I have faith that Sigil will pull through. If they didn't patch the game AT LEAST once every day like they do now, then I would think otherwise. But they are. They've been troopers fixing loads of stuff on a daily basis, especially class-wise (dirty Blood Mages), so I don't doubt the game will be playable upon release. That doesn't say it won't have it's share of problems, because all MMO's do, but with the progress they're making right now with stress-tests and all, it looks to be shaping up pretty nicely. Now if they'd just make me a special server to solo on that never came down, I'd be ever so greatful! :P

OK I thought I heard something like this, I would think that means they wouldn't need a big block of time before Beta 5 ends and Early Bird Live play begins.

They may run Beta 5 to the last moment, getting ready for patching on Live Release.
