Today we have a big treat for everyone! Our very own Cobalt Katze has released not one or two new pieces of music, but a total of 4 pieces, or movements, that fit together to form a complete epic piece. You can view CKs full post about the music in our forums here and can download Sandstorm, Firepeak, Lightningfield and Waterfall of the ensemble by right clicking the links and choosing "Save Link As". Remember they are built to be listened to in sequence!

The piece is called The Four Elements, and takes its frame of reference from the lands of Qalia. Unlike A King's Lament it doesn't follow a particular lore storyline, but instead follows a geographical landscape. So we've moved from emotions to a physical soundscape. Each movement focuses on a specific element (which seem to be very important in the overall storyline for the continent) as well as a possible location.

In other news, Raya, of Ten Ton Hammer fame, explores the "quest vs exp vs fun" triangle in "The Game's Afoot!". It's a good article that seems to go along with the general concensus concerning playability of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. Martuk has also collaborated with friend Nishka at TTH to bring you a look at trains in an article entitled, "Train to Zone". A fun, if not nostalgic, look at the good, the bad and the ugly sides to training! Finally, Aunraye, of TTH, published the next installment of a Tale of Two Players entitled "A Group That Plays Together Stays Together" with a good look at grouping that handshakes well with Raya's article!

Silky Venom also received two new Beta 1 screenshots last week that we missed with our daily update. You can find them here and here. Silky Venom has also announced the results of their first Sages Challenge this morning. It looks like the race is tight so far!
