Gamers: Are we really that bad?
This morning we have a great new article by Amoonsinas of the Vanguard Spheres staff. In her article, "Gamers: Are we really that bad?", Amoonsinas talks about the stereotyping of gamers as being "bad people" and focuses our attention on the "Child's Play" charity created by the Penny Arcade several years ago. Please take a few moments to read Amoonsinas's article and visit the Child's Play site. Thanks. We also have another treat this morning in the form of new music from Todd Masten of Sigil. Entitled "Cobalt Deep", this new piece is from an area off the savannah coast of Qalia and represents the type of music we might hear as we are traveling on a boat to our destination. Jacmac of XYanguard is also at it again. This time, Jacmac has published an article entitled "MMOG’s and Predictability In Engagements". In his article, Jacmac discusses the problem with MMO's becoming too predictable resulting in players not paying attention and eventually causing disasterous results. Jacmacs article reminds me of a saying one of my guildmates named Caleal used to use. He was fond of saying "If you understand how a froglok thinks, you understand how all mobs think". Sadly, he was right. Lets hope Vanguard breaks the mold. We also have two more articles to draw your attention to. Shayalyn of TenTonHammer has published an article entitled "Vanguard's Release Date: A Glimpse into the Future..." and Skarlath of Silky Venom has published an article entitled "Digging up Diplomacy". In Shayalyn's article, she takes a light hearted approach to figuring out the Vanguard release date. In his article, Skarlath educates us on the history of diplomacy and how the foundation that diplomacy was built on could make its way into Vanguard. Both articles make for interesting reads.
