We've got one more GM to let you meet: GM Djembe! This one is a real find, believe me! I just wish we'd had more time, but at least we got to learn more about her.

Just in case you missed the notice, the OVF is updating their information daily. Friday, they did the About Vanguard section, so if you thought you knew the skinny, check again!

And now, the time you've all been waiting for.... *drum roll*


You have almost three and a half weeks for this one. Here is what we're looking for:

Write a short story based on your knowledge of Telon and it's lore. The only rules are as follows:

- Must be written in English (or translated into English first)
- Must be appropriate for the general population to read (in other words, PG-13 and down...not up!)
- Must be original content...and yes, there are ways to check! No plagiarism!
- Any entry found inappropriate will be held, pending notification to the author to edit the content.
- Please be certain to register on the site, if you haven't already, and send me your forum name with your entry so we will know who to PM with the winning notification.

When you are finished and have proofread your entry, please e-mail them to me at aredhel.vanguard@gmail.com and I will post them for everyone to read. I must have these in my box by midnight Tuesday, Oct. 31. The winner will be notified Friday, Nov. 3, 2006. Unfortunatley, we can't tell you who wins, but all of the stories will be on the site for you to read and enjoy.

Judging will be done by the staff of Vanguard Spheres and possibly a guest judge (or judges....:cool: ).

This is kinda a high-schoolish question to ask, but, how long can the story be? I'm planning something like 5 pages. To me that seems relatively short. Is that OK? It's gone be a good read!

That's fine. Just don't put any tell-tale names in it that we can recognize, ok?

As long as they are VSoH based fan fiction, and we can read them in a half hour as opposed to a day and a half, then we're good to go! Even if it's the beginning of something that you're contemplating doing...that's ok, too! It might be that, after it's all said and done, we might ask if we could post the entire thing.

Bahhh What happened to the best pumpkin carved into your favorite VG Race.... I'm all out a short stories for a while. May have to wait till the end of the month for my entry. (if at all.)

Make sure you don't post your own entry, if you're wanting to be in the contest. It's a sure-fire way to be disqualified, and I really hate doing that!! :(

I\'d love everyone who thinks they would like to try writing to give it a shot! Sometimes, you just don\'t know what you\'re capable of doing, until you do it!
