Not the one for fluff and blow, and with RL kicking some of us squarely in the posterior right now (can ya believe school's about to start again?!?), VS has been a little quiet. That doesn't mean things aren't happening, does it? Like.....this:

In this case, I think it's pretty universal! Everyone is buzzing about Brad's talk of Beta3 and how close it is to reality! I know I'm excited at the prospect, and from "listening" to the others, everyone is.

I think TenTonHammer's article of Brad McQuaid Updates the Masses About Beta 3 was done quite well and sifted thru things sufficiently. Since the boards are jammed right now, and you can't always seem to get in, this might be a good start for you.

So, yes, while things have been sketchy to tell you about, we've all been waiting for this time in the life of Vanguard! I'm not sure if the news of launch would have been any more exciting for most! Now, the question remains: WHO will get to be in Beta3?

i recently looked that the official VG forums and they have a population count there - it was up to over 100 thousand at that time.

I think his estimate of 10 to 20 thousand is just a drop in that bucket.

but who knows?

Yo all. Just buy the Computer Games Magazine online and you send vanguard the receipt then they give you a code to get in Beta3 and download it.

I wish it was that easy my friend, however when you buy the magazine and get the code, you still have to submit it. Then you get an email stating you have been put in the beta queue. This still doesn't guarantee you'll be in beta phase 3, it could be 4 or 5.

It's all a waiting game, my friend.

Now that beta 3 has begun i don't think it will be long before those that have been in the beta pool awhile will get in.It shouldn't be longer than another month or so as they will start adding those from the CG promotion if they already haven't.

While I hope that's true, there are over 100,000 people registered on the vanguard forums. They aren't going to let all those people in within the month.

Not that they will but can you imagine what would happen if they suddenly opened the gates to 100k people all at once? I cringe at the time it would take to download what must be many gigs of client at the same time as 100k other people.
