Its definitely been quiet here at Vanguard Spheres for the last two weeks and for that I apologize. Unfortunately most of our news staff has been blugeoned with a dose of real life lately and we're just now recovering from it. While this news update wont be a comprehensive look at Vanguard news for the day, it will be exciting. This morning I received a press release from Computer Games Online detailing their exclusive Beta invitiation offer. Below are some additional details.

In the June issue of Computer Games, readers will find a unique code enabling them to enter the closed beta test of this MMO prior to the availability of any public access.

Sigil Games Online adds beta testers in large batches every few weeks. By registering an exclusive CGM code, readers will be instantly added to its beta queue. There is no need to put in an application and hope to be chosen to participate; readers will skip right to the front of the line. After a code is registered, Sigil will send out e-mails along with the client download information.

Unfortunately no. Aradune made a post which you can find in his Dev Tracker here on the site stating that this will be for one of the last beta phases and that we arent there yet.

Is there any reason why this is advertised in a magazine not sold over here?. Fortunately I can get my son to buy a copy and email me the code. It does seem to indicate a lack of importance attached to the non US gaming community.

Well, unless I misunderstood something you can buy the digital edition from Zinio, and then mail a copy of your receipt to receive a code. It's all here:

Yes, you can get the online version. We purchased it online from the UK and got the code no problem. The instructions are all in the link Jhael gave above, and you can subscribe/purchase one copy from here:

I hadn't come across the magazine before, but actually it's a good read and very good value. We decided to go for the one year sub.

I'm considering a 1-year subscription too... Although I can't run the game on my current computer, I might be able to when that particular beta starts - who knows, it's worth a shot.

If you need someone to play the beta in your stead..... I would be more than happy to volunteer Although my comp barely meets the prereq. I would suffer though low fps for you.
