I'd also like to draw your attention to the official Vanguard Feature List which has just been released by Sigil Games Online! This list represents our first look at the features Sigil will be committing to having when the game releases. The list looks great and it will be exciting to see these features and more in the game being released later this year.

The "Vanguard" features list is interesting but there are a couple of things that I found interesting. The full expirence for all members would definatly encourage grouping but honestly that almost seems like too much.

Also it says only 15 classes? So does that mean Inquisitor is definatly not in then? What other class is getting scrapped? As of now we have 17 classes none of which is the dearly departed summoner.

Good question...

Classes we've seen functioning in the game:

Warrior, Paladin, Dread Knight, Ranger, Cleric, Sorcerer, Shaman, Psionicist

Classes that have been discussed intimately in interviews and at Fanguards:

Bard, Rogue, Blood Mage, Necromancer, Druid, Berserker, Monk

Which leaves Disciple and Inquisitor as classes we don't know too much about...

However, IF those two aren't included, that makes a very severe imbalance in the number of tanks and healers versus DPS classes. I'm about to type up a little post regarding balance based on the currently rumored info, which'll go into that a bit further.

Well if group size is going to be based on 6-8 you might only need one main healer and one main tank. I really don't know much about how combat in "Vanguard: Saga of Heroes" is like but it sounds like they are trying to avoid the spam healing fests that resulted in other MMPORPGs. As such I could definatly see the need for only 3 healer classes and 3 real healers is certainally an improvement from the one and only system that occured in "EverQuest".
