As is usually the case with my trips, its been a hectic week so news updates have suffered a bit. Perhaps a worthy News Manager will step forward to alleviate that problem sometime soon. I'd like to congratulate Lycrist for pulling down 50% of the Vanguard Spheres votes in the Fan Art contest last week. As the Vanguard Spheres finalist, Lycrist's art will compete against the winners from the other affiliate sites. Later this week, Sigil will decide who's art will win a permanent place in Vanguard and a coveted Beta 1 account. Nice job Lycrist!



We also have a new article by Cobalt Katze for you to read today entitled "Measuring up the Situation". In the article, CK takes a close look at the various group encounter types that Sigil will be providing content for and reviews some of the ways other games have catered to those styles.

As a reminder the Vanguard Spheres staff will be visiting Sigil HQ tomorrow. If you have a question you'd like us to ask the staff while we are there, post it in this thread on our forums soon! Astute readers may also have noticed that we recently switched our gallery software to a new product. As a result there may be a few broken or missing images around the site. If you encounter one we'd love to hear about it in our Feedback Forum.

Epic Vanguard and Vanguard Crafters have new screenshots since our last update. It appears the full size version of the Epic Vanguard shots are unavailable at this time but you can see the thumbnails on their front page. The Vanguard Crafters shots are of the spiders and zombies we've been seeing lately and can be found here and here.

Vanguard @ Ten Ton Hammer has two new articles online. One is an interview with Havelock of Silky Venom and the other is the third installment of their column "A Tale of Two Players" entitled "Are Newbies Traveling in the Dark?" by Aunraye.
