Beta 1, new screenshots and an editorial

Beta 1 is upon us Vanguard fans! Last night Cindy "Abigale" Bowens opened the floodgates and let people know that invitations to apply to Beta 1 would be going out to all registered users of the forums over the next few days so keep your eyes peeled and good luck in the selection process!

I'd like to announce that Aredhel has been promoted to Editor in Chief and will be responsible for keeping our writers well spoken and using proper spelling. As her first act as Editor in Chief, Aredhel has published a short "Editorial" for you to read. Congratulations on the new position Aredhel! I'd also like to welcome two new members to the Vanguard Spheres team. Neatton and Itsasecret have come on to fill in two of our Class Manager roles. For now until we get more class managers, Neatton will be covering melee classes and Itsasecret will be covering caster classes. Over the next few weeks Neatton and Itsasecret will be expanding our class pages to get us ready for new class info as it becomes available.

Warcry has received two new exclusive screenshots. The first is of one of the commonly seen spider dungeons but the detail on the characters face is very good. The second shot is one in the continuing series of graveyard shots depicting a battle between a party and a pack of zombies.

Shayalyn of Tentonhammer has published a new article entitled "Vanguard Gamer Girls for the Win". In the article Shayalyn expresses her displeasure with the commonly held stereotype of female gamers by their male counterparts. She explains that women can be every bit as skilled if not moreso than male gamers and goes through a large number of responses to the TTH survey. Thanks for the article Shayalyn.

Silky Venom has two new pieces of fan fiction from Therian and Orlun. Therians piece entitled "Explaining Respawning in MMORPGs" seeks to explain why mobs respawn indefinitely from a roleplaying perspective. Orluns piece entitled "Tap...Tap...Tap is a short adventure with a twist at the end. Enjoy!
