Possible Xbox 360 support

While details are sketchy and there has been no official confirmation of the rumors, its starting to look like Vanguard may be a future title for the Xbox 360. Opinions are split on what that means for the title and how it would ultimately be handled from a server standpoint. Would both the PC and Xbox platforms have access to the same servers? If so would that make a difference to you as a user of either of those platforms?

Traditionally PC and console gamers have been pretty critical of each other. The PC gamer tends to look down on a console gamer as an immature amateur while the console gamer tends to look down on the PC gamer as dinosaurs clinging to their childhood. Bringing those two groups together could definitely spark a new wave of drama in the gaming world that makes the PVP vs PVE debate pale in comparison. That said however, a move like this seems inevitable as companies look for new ways to increase their playerbases. Sigils relationship with Microsoft seems to set a perfect stage for the successful melding of the PC and console worlds. With high definition televisions starting to gain footing in many households and console hardware approaching or even exceeding the capabilities of PC hardware the arguments for only gaming on a PC platform that often costs 10 times more than a console are quickly being exhausted. If Sigil and Microsoft play their cards right and dont sacrifice the experience of either platform for the other, the future seems bright for a much larger potential playerbase than any other MMO to date.
