First Fan Art submission and a new article!

Our first Fan Art contest submission has been posted to the contest forums! The piece, entitled "Water Sprites" by Lycrist is beautiful and very well done. Thanks for the submission Lycrist! I'd also like to draw your attention to a new feature on our site at this time as well. You may have noticed the words "Fan Art contest" above have a popup when you roll your mouse over them. This is the first step of our pilot program to extend our upcoming Glossary/Encyclopedia throughout our site. Eventually once we've worked all the bugs out of the system, we'll add many more terms to the system and allow registered users to toggle certain groups of terms on and off. We'd love to hear what you have to say about the system in our suggestion forums. Melchizedek published a new article here at Vanguard Spheres this morning called "Things to be thankful for". In the article Melchizedek gives us a summary of things that have happened in the last month or so in regards to Vanguard development and finishes with a few comments about Vanguard on the XBox 360 platform. Which leads us directly into our next piece of news.

Just when we thought Taranis had squashed all traces of people claiming Vanguard will be coming out on the XBox 360 next year, yet another article from a reputable source surfaces claiming the opposite. We'll have to see which macro Taranis uses this time to quell the uproar. Will it be the "I'll bet you a $1000 dollars Vanguard isnt coming out for XBox within 12 months of release" or another oldie but a goodie?

The Safehouse received two new screenshots after our Friday update. The shot with Vanguards user interface on is especially exciting! The book art looks spectacular and if I do say so myself still shows the influence of T. King's hand which is good to see. Vanguard Stratics has new Fan Art by Hijinks entitled "Lady Undead" and "Pally". Tentonhammer has the first article of a new column by Aunraye and Martuk entitled "New Doesn’t Mean Incompetent". In the article Aunraye talks about what its like being new to the MMO genre and asks that people be tolerant of newcomers when Vanguard releases. Diplomatters.net has the second installment of their "From the fans" series published. The second article is with Jambo a newer member of the Diplomatters forums. Finally Vanguard Fighters has updated their warrior class attack skills page with info from the skills seen in the Safehouse UI shot mentioned earlier.
