Sorry for the late update today but we think it was for a good reason. Have you ever really wanted to leave your mark on a game you've played but been unable to do so? Well then the contest announced today by Sigil games for Vanguard: Saga of Heros may be just what you need. The Grand Prize winner of the Vanguard Fan Art Contest will receive a coveted Beta 1 account AND more importantly have their art work permanently displayed in the world of Telon once Vanguard goes live!

To support the contest we have opened up a new set of forums for you to participate in! Everything you need to know about the contest including the official rules and how to participate can be found in the official contest forums. We've also opened several threads to discuss the Fan Art contest and gather your ideas for further exclusive Vanguard Spheres contests! We look forward to your feedback and would love to see your art in our gallery!

In other exciting news, we' have a trio of articles by Jasarina of Tentonhammer, TP Whited of Killer Betties and Aredhel our newest staff member. Jasarina has put up an article discussing the responsibilities of parents who have children who game. Jasarina explores the boundry where their responsibility begins and where it ends which makes for a very interesting read. TP Whited on the other hand has put up an article which relates his experience with female gamers. He goes on to warn the gaming men of the world to watch their six, because many female gamers are very formidable opponents. It makes for a good light hearted read which I bet you'll enjoy.

Aredhel's first order of business as a Vanguard Spheres staff member, was to put up a piece in our brand new Article Section. Aredhel's article, entitled "Customer Service: Vanguard Style", looks in depth at the Vanguard Customer Service system and how it will work. Great work Aredhel and thanks for helping me test the article system. Welcome to the team!

Finally Stratics will be hosting an informal IRC chat with Michelle Butler, Head of Customer Service, Cindy Bowens, Senior Community Manager, Nick "The Gnome" Parkinson, Community Manager and the recently hired GameMasters of Vanguard on Wednesday, Oct 5th at 4pm PST!
