Girls gone wild!

No this isnt one of those late night TV commercials, its an update about a couple of new articles about or from the female perspective. Labyrrinth over at Silky Venom has just published a new article about how the gaming industry views female gamers. She relates her exasperation about being pigeon holed into one of 3 stereotypical categories as a female and hopes that the gaming industry can eventually see beyond those categories.

Earlier in the week Newsweek ran this article asking "What women want in their games". The conclusion? No one really knows because gaming companies dont even know how large their female player population is nor have they put significant research into finding out their interests. In light of that fact, we thought we'd do some research for them. We'd like to hear what women enjoy most about gaming. What they feel games lack and what they'd like to see in the future.

In other news, Nu Akii of Tentonhammer has recently released new concept art of a Dinosaur Battle. Looks great Nu.
