Having just returned from my vacation to Sin City, I was relieved to see that the holiday weekend made for a relatively low number of posts from the devs on the OVFs. The affiliates however had alot to say so without further ado, here's the holiday news. Now that I've returned, we'll be back to our daily weekday updates so stay tuned!

Vanguard Gate will be hosting a chat with Cindy Bowens, Michelle Butler and the three newly hired Sigil GMs, Rachel David (GM Elaisu), Steve Williams (GM Aruspex) and Ben Phongluangtham (GM Fessius). Rachel, Steve and Ben were all formerly with the CS group at Monolith Productions the maker of The Matrix Online. The chat will be on the gate.shadowworld.net irc server in the #vanguardgate room at 7pm EST and should last about an hour. Be sure to stop in! Vanguard Gate has also launched their Beastiarium section over the weekend which lists the known information about the currently released inhabitants of Telon.

TenTonHammer has recently brought in two new staff members, Jasarina and Niborea. Niborea's first contribution to the TTH site was some beautiful original artwork which joins Nu Akii's recently published fan art in gracing the pages of the site. Finally Wertaf put up an article about his hopes for the Vanguard rogue class and excitement with what we know about them so far.

Vanguard Crafters also brought in two new staff members this past week as well. Tamison joins the site as a columnist and Enochos joins the site as News Director. Tamisons first order of business was to put up an article about what the herbalist class might be like in Vanguard. Head on over and take a look.

Silky Venom has recently put an original work of art by Sigil artist Christian Piccolo up for auction in an effort to help the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. The art is quite nice and we'd like to applaud the staff of SV for doing what they can to help out with the effort.

Vanguard :: Die Gemeinde and Vanguard Jeuxonline also received new Beta 0 screenshots. This newest set of shots seems to be much more polished than the previous sets of Beta 0 screenshots. It seems that Sigil may have tweaked some engine controls this time around. Bravo!
