Fanguard 2 in the works

Cindy Bowens put up a post on the official vanguard forums yesterday afternoon about the next Fanguard. In her post she had this to say:

The development schedule is another big factor. Hosting an event like this takes many people from the team away from their regular tasks. We have to make sure that the timing will not impact the production schedule.

I will let you know as soon as a date is set and get you all the information you need to make your arrangements as soon as everything is finalized.

Where is the next Fanguard?

As you know, we are now in Beta. That means people are working harder than ever and schedules and budgets are even tighter than usual. So there is no way we can consider doing another event out of town right now. So unless there are some unforeseen changes , the next event will most likely be here in the San Diego area.

So there you have it, the next Fanguard is this October in the San Diego area. Start saving those pennies now!

More screenshots have been filtering in as well. The newest affiliate site, Vanguard Mondes Persistants has some beautiful screenshots posted. In their shots, a very large and well textured spider and frog can be seen as well as some excellent shots of Telon at night. Rumor has it Stratics will also have some screenshots posted today as well so keep an eye on their site or this news article for updates and links to them.

Tentonhammer.com has published Chapter 3 of their Forged Through the Darkness fan fiction by Nu Akii Kuraii. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 were released previously and are all great works. Nicely done Nu Akii Kuraii.

So stoked for Fanguard! Also, the thread thing is nice Piro. Especially for us military folks who got busy all of the sudden. The posts gave me a lot of encouragement.

Maybe they could do a Fanguard out east...I'm going to be moving that way later this month, and a fanguard out that way would be nice... oh well. I can hope!
