Black Guard / Thunderaxe
Black Guard on the Thunderaxe server is recruiting.
Guild Name: Black Guard Guild Website: www.guildblackguard.com Main Time Zone: EST Guild Leader: Gutt Black Guard was formed on 01/29/07 on the Thunderaxe server. Our intentions are to create an environment where guild productivity as a team and the productivity of the guild's individual members are both equally important and beneficial to one another. As a rule, we put guild members before all others when it comes to groups. This means grouping with guildmates before those who are not guildmates. Lining up guild mates that need a group for a spot as soon as any current non-guild group members leave the group – unless the non-member is a potential recruit. Here are some general guidelines we encourage our guildmates to follow: 1. When logging on, ask in guild chat whether or not there are any groups you may join, or if there are none, ask if anyone would like to join you! 2. When someone needs to work on a quest, help them! If possible, get the quest if you’ve not done it yet, so that you may do it together. 3. If you are running a group, and a guildmate needs a group, give him a slot in your group if they satisfy the level requirements for the area you are in. If the group is full, drop a non-guild member in favor of a guild member if the non-guild member is leaving soon or not contributing to the group. Remember, your guildmate will do the same for you – it is expected! 4. If you are in a group that is not full, and a guildmate needs a group, reserve a slot for them! 5. If there is a guild group needing a specific type of character to round out their group, such as a healer, or DPS, and you fill those requirements, please try to help out! Re: Black Guard / Thunderaxe
Yes, our goal is to tackle raid content. However, not in the hardcore sense that most raiders may be used to.
Our DKP system is being built to reward attendance, across the board and not specifically to only equip the raid tank, healer, dps, etc. The founding members are all parents with full time jobs, so we can't dedicated 8 hours a day to raiding and playing. However, we have played and raided successfully in an environment where we dedicate one or two nights to the goals of the guild. Basically, on the designated guild nights, if you are online, you are expected to attend guild events, be it a raid, flagging event, xp grind, or even harvesting grinds. The rest of the week, weekend or not, members are free to develop and work towards their own goals. This gives people the opportunity to raid the higher end content and allows the guild to profit from the combined effort of it's members. At the same time, this raiding model avoids a full time raiding schedule, hardcore attendance requirements, and the general burn out that comes from maintaining such a hardcore agenda.
