Great website! My thanks for the invite to visit. I have a feeling that most of you are American Peektime players? My peek play times are for Australia (Offpeek USA) Past experience has shown me that I am best supported if I join an offpeek guild. But I am holding back on all that stuff for now and will work it out in game after launch. If I find a good group of people to hang out with I will look you guys up again and see if there is room for an offpeek group for the society. ![]() |

Re: Focus Guilds?
I am sure that you will find what you are looking for Twyla. I have been with the same guild now for 3+ years (the guild is over 8 years old). The key is to find a "family" that will complement your play style and gaming goals. So IMO it is worth the hard search to find that group that works for you.

Currently we have people from many different time zones and I, for one, will be playing from midnight to 4 or 5am MST week nights. I'll also be playing on the weekends, probably too much! As I am eagerly awaiting crafting, I will be concentrating on that sphere for a bit before I begin adventuring and harvesting. After I get to what I'll call second tier resources, I'll be doing my best to assemble a squad of crafters that want to harvest their own and do a bit of exploring. We are excited about our structure and squad set-up and look forward to implementing them. From what we know about Vanguard, we think it will work well. Thanks for the kudos ![]() |

Re: Focus Guilds?
Guild Limits I think 100 would be good limit. ALts do take away from the guild especially when they are in a different guild. In my last guild you couldn't have an alt in the guild unless you where a ceratin level. I believe that most of us will be playing more than one char. I believe the player needs to be focused on the guild no matter how many char's he/she has. So in this respect I think guild caps may hurt.
Multiple guilds I am , unless 1 is a player guild the other is like say a crafters guild or warriors guild that is game controlled (something that benefits your main profession). Also what Guild name would you carry? How would guild chat work if your in 2 or 3 guilds? Wonder if the will have some kind of guild status like EQ2? focused guilds - can be devopled can be developed by the guild charter. Or system of smaller grps whith in the Guild that are focus on a certain profession that would supply guilds needs (Sounds like a Feudal system). |

Re: Focus Guilds?
For chatting in multiple guilds Im sure you could just do /gu1, /gu2, /gu3, etc.

Re: Focus Guilds?
It seems that vangaurd is taking the whole guild situation with upmost imortance. This to me is a great thing. Even if thigs stay as they are, at least we know they are thinking about the whole guild situation. OMG i can express to you more how EQ2 totally gimped guild play at launch.

Re: Focus Guilds?
EQ2s guild system had so much potential too. Being able to level the guild up was a very cool mechanic but it just didnt hold together properly or give rewards that scaled with effort. Ahh well.
