Freeblade Legion - Call to Arms, Magics and Diplomacy

Greetings friends!

The Freeblade Legion Guild of Players are now expanding into this new and exciting game world of Vanguard, Saga of Heroes and are in search of other lost wandering souls looking to "belong" to something else greater than themselves.

We are not a new guild for we are now entering our fourth year together and we have managed to survive this long due only to the great teamwork friendly, fun loving people of this guild.

As we enter Vanguard, we are like children leaving home for the first time. We will need guidance and support, knowledge and wisdom and above all more friendships to help us now survive and thrive into the world of Vanguard.

Why do you want to or should join this guild?

-Because you enjoy actually having a say in ANY and All matters that affect the Guild, thus you actually help to shape the future of this guild. We vote on any issue that does or will affect the Guild.

-Have the chance to start fresh with this team of players who are looking to build together a true Saga of Heroes, a true fellowship of companions that no matter what, will instantly welcome and accept you for who you are as a real person and not just a "character" in game.

-Because you are a "single" player who wants to explore this new world with others who also think and feel the way you do about MMORPGs.

-You have the opportunity to help guide this team of players through your teamwork and leaderships skills. We promote Leadership in ANY team member. That is, no matter who you are or what character you play, you don't just follow, you lead the team. This is the Legion's way, all of us are leaders as well as followers.

Main Time Zone: Our members are from all over the world, though many reside in the United States and the Eastern Time Zone, we have members as far away as Greece!

# of Members: 20. Though many are currently unavailable to come into Vanguard (due to system specs etc), there are those of us that are foraying into Vanguard to help pave the way for our family of friends for when they do manage to arrive.

Degree of RP: We encourage and support RP whenever possible, but due to the fact that we are looking to be a close team, also encourage OOC parlay (How have things been going with you lately? etc) when solely with the Guild team in a private channel. Essentially, based on the Guilds current "Time" situation (Downtime / Legion Time / Command Time) will promote the amount of RP required. Light to no rp in downtime and full RP mode when in Command Time.

-The guilds number one main rule is that you cannot belong to another guild that is NOT in alliance with the Legion and the guild has voted to allow membership into "said" guild while being a Legionnaire.

Freeblade Guild Introduction

Long ago a prophecy was once foretold...

What was once lost not only in the lands of history, but the hearts of many, will be found again by those who would bare its burden and thus share in its rewards. A path will open to a land of freedom. A shrine will then be found to foretell its purpose to those with the Legion blood, heart, mind and soul it was meant for, to those that have the ability to shoulder its Five Tenets of burden.

The Freeblade Legion is now awakening into new bloodlines in all races and creeds without prejudice to once again take up arms and magics to partake in its eternal purpose... the opposition of tyranny in all its forms through its five tenets of Teamwork, Discipline, Faith, Friendship and Honor of the heart.

Freeblade Guild Synopsis

The Freeblade Legion is first and foremost an rp guild of adventurers who hear the Epic calling of the Heroes Song. They are a family of players seeking to gather in companionship of one another to unite in a common bond. They are mercenaries and idealists with hearts of honor who only sell their blades, skills and magics to one another with their price being nothing less then friendship and trust. Within this theme does our laughter reign.

Freeblade Guild Tenets

Teamwork - Together we stand, Divided we fall. All for One, and One for All.

Discipline - Chaos breeds disorder, Order breeds Unity.

Faith - Without it, One does not seek Guidance and is there fore Lost.

Friendship - Respect and Caring for all Legionnaires.

Honor - "Ust Solarus, Uth Mithas", "My Honor is my life." Hearts of Honor is the virtue to always seek to do the right thing with the knowledge that the rights of unjust beings is of no consequence to the just.

Though the use of poisons and assassinations would be openly frowned upon, it is always an option to secure our goals of the Freeblades way of life and in protecting the greater good from the oppression of tyranny. If we deem it so as a team, "The Means Will Always Justify the Ends" no matter of what tactics we decide to employ.

Of the five Tenets, a Freeblade must personally find Faith in something that they would hold dear to them and protect it with your life. To ever give this up without giving up your life, is to loose the Freeblade status and the respect of the Tenets avatar's. (Beliefs and Values)

Freeblade Guild Character AND Player Requirements

•Alignment "Behavior" restrictions: Essentially Non-evil in nature.
•Must have Freeblade as a part of characters last name.
•Cannot belong to any other guild, organization or faction. (Includes no multiple logins.)
•Must be able to uphold and live by the Five Tenets of the Legion.
•Must be 19 years or older to gain entrance due to adult themes and or rp content.

Freeblade Guild Rules

•The most important and major tenet of the Freeblades is Teamwork. In this, we all strive to work together at all times. Freeblades never leave their comrades in danger nor do they ever put themselves first above other team mates. ((Think; One for All, All for One)). Individualism is encouraged. Individualism in the face of danger or hasty selfish decisions is a sign of weakness in your devotion to the Legion and will be noticed.

•Must abide to and follow all in game rules that affect and govern all players.

•All members will read and follow the module Rules and Laws of any Official Guild Forum Sites (Like this one) as posted on the website and forums and will also be responsible in not only supporting but adhering to the Legion's Rules of guild PvP engagements for special pre-arranged events.

•All Freeblades must follow these three distinct Times of Operations.

1) Downtime / Free time. This is where you freely do, as you wish (common sense here), while not in guild colors. At this time...the Legion is not "organizing" for any operations or team activities. This time is the standard, common default time the Legion operates in.

2) Legion time. Here is where we hone our skills and combat abilities while practicing how best to work with one another to compliment each others combat skills and capabilities. Here is where we learn how to be "that" team that is organized in its tactics and precision. Not exactly downtime, but not the other time as well...this time, is our time for fun and laughs as a team in a "practice" environment. Think "war games". It is also a time that the Legion likes to encourage all within it's ranks to take up the reigns of Leadership and lead the team on a mission of your choosing. Any one calling Legion time and wishing to assume command of a mission must be given the same respect as you would the First Officer. Only Councilors will have the right to waive this time and or request for the right reason(s) only.

3) Command time. In this mode, we have "silence" (NO non-important text messages), eyes darting about, scouts ahead and arrear, weapons on guard and our lives in each others hands. Everything that we've learned together as a team in Legion time will be put to the real test here. A command structure will be set into place, its Leader dependant on the mission or objective. It may be that we have decided to do a lowly simple mission together, or that we are off to test our Legion time in Death's tomb itself, or maybe...that we are simply at war with our natural enemy...Tyranny.

The call of Command Time will ALWAYS override any situation present and all Legionnaires must rally to the call.

Besides the forever continuation of living within the Freeblade Five Tenets, this is the one and only service ALL Freeblades owe to the Legion.

Failure to comply will result in a hearing on the offending member to review their allegiance they have sworn to the Legion.

Any member may call Command time, and will be automatically considered the Leader and will have the crown passed to that member and will be treated as if the First Officer of the Legion until the situation can or should be downgraded. Two or more Councilors may override the call, but must be willing to present their doings to the Legion.

Improper use of calling Command time will have its penalties. This is NOT a "Cry wolf situation". If in doubt, call Legion time and assume command.

Benefits of Freeblade Status

•Being a Legionnaire is more of an ”ideal” way of life for your character to live and breathe and at same time belong to a group of people that share and adhere to those very same "ideals" of life. Thus it is a deeply rooted bond to one another that will transcend all future boundaries. Think of it as the "Peace Corp" with blades, magics and diplomacy in place of the "Peace", though that will be in your heart and amongst your comrades.

Closing

The Freeblades will try to stay as neutral as is possible to better weigh any future opportunities. This means...until we decide to do anything as a team...we avoid conflicts with any other player, guild or faction while playing Vanguard.

Just because you are a Freeblade and you have your own personal army to back you up...does NOT give any Freeblade the right to use the guild to provoke or harass another player(s) and or factions.

Though we are a mercenary company, we are first and foremost players seeking fun, adventure, rp opportunities and the chance to belong to something bigger than ourselves.
