I hope to create a chapter of "The Grey Company." a guild I ran for a while in AC2, later we moved to Horizons and currently there are about 150 members playing in Wow. An attempt to run the Guild in EQ2 failed and WoW succeeded because as a horde guild on PvP server helping each other is the only way to survive.
Our aim is simple -- fun. we actively discourage power players. No member ever charges another for items, dropped or crafted. We will create unbalanced groups rather than let a guild member be left LFG. A guild bank accepts un-needed items and cash for redistribution. One feature of the guild is a weekly meet to chat exchange gear and undertake Guild trips. amazing how different it is actually gathering the characters together rather than just communicating over Group chat. |

Re: Tgc
Isn't that the truth!?!!
Some of my officers and members aren't/weren't big fans of meetings, but it does SO much for community! Best of luck to you, Greymain!

Sounds like you've got a good formula for a guild, Greymain. I've always been part of a very friendly, family-type guild and can say that I thoroughly enjoy the experience. When we had guild events it always amazed me at how many people cared enough to attend despite time-zone differences and other issues. Good luck with The Grey Company!

Re: Tgc
Your guild sounds like mine
![]() I had a World of Warcraft guild on Silvermoon called "Crimson Circle" like yours it was based on support and friendship. I'm hoping to raise a new chapter in Vanguard. Personally i dont like "power guilds" if i become Rogue No. 32 and have to be online at precisely 7pm or face being kicked from the guild i'd rather be kicked. If you wanna join me on an EU server I think we'd make a damn good team ![]() |

Re: Tgc
No I did not know that.. I really would love to revive my old guild but currently The Grey Company is a WoW PvP Raid guild and not many of the old crew still active. But creating a new European bias Guild around the same principles would be great. Timing is the thing it would be great to have something in place for open Beta.
One big problem .. we still don't know how the servers will work. International or regional. If International then the most efficient guilds will need to be international in order to function 24/7. |
