An Unamed Fellowship

Name: The name for this guild will be decided upon shorty after the game goes live or perhaps sooner, but will be a decision made by the earliest members of the guild. We are waiting to decide on a name because we want the name to reflect the opinions and ideas of the guild, and we feel this is the best way to do that.

Philosophy: Throughout my experience with MMORPGs, I've noticed that one thing is more important to a game than any other: community. It's easy to try to feel special and unique. But when you experience the thrill of being a part of a community and playing through an adventure with a group of people whom you respect and who respect you, that factor becomes the part of a game that keeps you coming back over and over again.

Title: At the moment, this is not a raiding guild. Nor is it a PvP guild. Until we have the chance to experience different aspects of the game as a fellowship, a specific purpose of the guild will not be announced. For now, we can call it "community-centric", though it is a goal to experience raiding and PvP, judging each activity for ourselves and to become a top-of-the-line guild in whatever we do.

Me: I have played many different types of games, but I especially like MMOs. I used to play Runescape back when it was 2D and there were more Sephiroth clones than blades of grass, I almost got through the 7-day WoW Free Trial, I played FFXI for 4 years (counting the beta), I got in about two months of pre-NGE SWG before I quit (gee, I wonder why) and came back about a month and a half ago (I've already quit again). I've also played a considerable amount of many other MMOs such as L2, DDO and AO. If you're still reading to find out whether I've played EQ or EQ2, I haven't. I would try EQ now but it seems to be dead, and I don't want to get into EQ2 this close to VG's launch.

Play Time Requirements: This guild is not based on someone being kicked out because he had to go to his daughter's ballet recital during a raid time. Although I am personally a player who invests time into the game every day, with small holes here and there (and most of out members will be expected to be the same), I understand that certain nights are just bad for some people, and I wholeheartedy believe that Life V.S. MMO does not need to be an either/or battle. What really matters is that someone who can't play as much as he/she would like to, but still helps the guild as much as possible will not be outranked by someone who plays 24/7 but only cares about himself.

Goals and Rules: Here's a sample of a few of the rules that are in mind: Put the fellowship before yourself. Treat fellows as you would have yourself to be treated. Do not flame on any forum or in-game under any circumstances, we are above that. Obey your strategic (meaning, listen to orders given during raids or other events). Strive for resolution to conflicts within and out of the guild on a personal level before seeking aid from the council. No drama.

If you are interested in joining or just getting into contact with us, visit our temporary guildportal site (I'm working on a real site with some other memebers) or email me at "TheMiracleDT@gmail.com". We are getting lots of MMO veterans already so I am enjoying a great deal of insight on guild organization. Thank you for reading.
