After reading up on vanguard for the past year, its time I announced the guild ArtOfWar. I am Punish, Liam a 25 y/o husband, Father of two and a mmorpg fan, having been playing them for the last 8 years. Each game taking on its many challenges a great deal of my time is spent getting the most out of it and making sure my time was not wasted.

I take on the position of leader for many reasons, apart of me enjoys the command aspect of being able to pull off a successful plan leading others to a particular goal or success. More so however I take on the position to challenge myself , I simply love building an organization and seeing how far it will go.

Vanguard seams to have enough content to keep anyone of any level of play entertained for a pretty substantial time, MMO’s are often hit or miss with me, If I cant get hooked past the initial free month they don’t go very far, I can say however the two longest MMO’s I’ve played (combined 5 years) were Everquest 1 and Lineage 2. With Everquest 1 having the lions share of my online game time, I think brad will hook me again with this one after the latest video. (I am in total awe)

ArtOfWar in its vanguard incarnation will be a PVP oriented guild playing on vanguards promised PVP server at launch or shortly there after (in the off chance vanguards pvp system does not make it we will play anyway). We will also get our roots set and set out to accomplish some of the games more advanced encounters and quests, We only recruit mature individuals, most of our members are all over 18. (Okay so we got 1, 16 y/o named zods but he promises he will get to age 18 before the next age goal.)

I am a goal oriented leader, setting various stages of development and expecting those individuals within the guild that “can” accomplish to do so, others who can not attain “goal” are not for us and respectfully asked to leave and reapply once they can put forth the effort.

Our Applicant requirements are fairly straight forward and firm.

Play time: You need to be active on a daily basis, Were not going to be a 60 hour a week guild everyone has a life, However we want to get to know you and make you apart of our team, If you can only play 2 or 3 days out of the week this probably isn’t the guild for you.

Hours: A lot of our current membership is “late night”, Second shift workers, Early morning International players etc, Our optimum active window is between 11pm to 3am CST on weekdays, and All day weekends. If this fits your schedule we would love to have you.

Mentality:
Aggressive:
Being a pvp guild by nature its hard to exactly correlate how our guild would behave within vanguards world as all games are different and we actually have to play it first, I can however see us taking out an entire guild camping X rare spawn or raid boss, We play for us, If they arent with us doom on them. Kill on Sight faction standings for various guilds that tick us off etc, if you played a PVP game you know how it goes. Were going to kill lots and lots of people.

Social:
We use ventrilo for a reason, 1. Communication, 2. Social.
I only attempt to get the PVP oriented players that can also get along with others in a social environment, If you cant get along with a group of people on vent or are afraid to get to know them, this is not the guild for you. You MUST be on ventrilo.

Currently our website is in need of an update from our past game, I hope to take care of that over this weekend. If you go to that site and start thinking about playing archlord iam very very sorry.

First off welcome to the boards, hope you enjoy your stay. Your guild sounds quite interesting yet the hours don't go along with my time frame which sucks cause it sounds like a hardcore guild ready to get stuff done. I'm on EST time zone so those hours wouldn't work for me, I work 1st shift and have to be at work from 7am to 1530EST. Again welcome welcome!
