Come join the members of Pax Aeternum, a Pax Gaming Nexus branch formed for a presence in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.

Why would you want to join our community? Well, many of us have been together for 3+ years, since pre-launch SWG. Since then, we've been in pretty much everything that's been worthwhile playing...and some games that haven't Through it all, we maintain our standards of membership and expansive appeal for many kinds of playstyles. Do you RP? So do we. PvP? We want to; we'll be seeing what happens when the official server types are announced. Raid? Craft? We've got you covered.

The Pax Aeternum Council is made up of a number of Pax veteran leaders: Darian (overall head), Ivar (Crafting), Robre Lawin (Adventuring) and myself (Diplomacy) have been Council members in one or more games for Pax over the years, helping to lead literally hundreds of people over time through thick and thin. Added to the line-up is Cabrien (RP and Event Planning), a long-time friend of Pax and a member with us through many games.

We've hit the ground running...new applicants arrive daily, it seems, and members from other Pax chapters are also showing up for the ride.

Thank you both Given the combined years of experience of not only our leaders but all of our members, we're expecting a lot of great things for ourselves in Vanguard. Seeing the quality and number of applicants coming in from here already, the official site and elsewhere, I think we'll be seeing a lot of new viewpoints and many new movers and shakers coming on board, as well as those looking to just be part of a very informal yet cohesive community.

Overview

Pax Aeternum is a member of the Pax Gaming Nexus family of guilds. We've been in existence for over 5 years, starting in early pre-launch SWG and continuing through DAoC, E&B, EQ, EQ2, Eve, CoH/CoV, WoW, DDO and more. Pax Aeternum is our presence in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes and we intend to continue applying the same principles that have kept us as a recognizable fixture in the games that have come before.

Pax Aeternum is a general-appeal guild; we don't seek to be a PvP powerhouse nor are we overly casual. We enjoy RP but have many who do not participate in RP at all as well as those who would like to try. Our model is one of being open enough to have everything we'll need internally while having the focus when needed to accomplish great tasks in a minimum of time. There are no hard and fast requirements in terms of playtime or contribution, but everyone is encouraged to do their part in order for all to benefit.

Structure

We are led by a Council of three, one Councilor each for the Spheres of Adventuring, Crafting and Diplomacy. Under the Council are our members; it may seem odd having no other permanent leaders, especially given our size (over 70 and growing), but all are invited to step up for leadership roles for specific tasks...if raids need to be led, buildings need to be built, etc., leaders will be appointed as needed and everyone will have a chance to gain leadership experience, rather than appoint a couple dozen people and have them keep their positions without giving others a chance.

Our background was created to allow for a lot of flexibility in terms of member participation; we're Qalia-centric, but the background explains why we can have members far and wide in other continents (and why those members would be travelling back to Qalia now). It also allows us to write a lot of RP stories before going live, about our guild history or our own personal histories, in giving us a great story to hang other tales off of.
