What is this guild all about?
For the older more mature crowd (25+ flexible).
Centered on having fun!
Light leadership. No politics or bureaucracy.
NO DRAMA!
Open to any Race/Class/Alignment/etc.

What can you expect?
A cool group of mature players interested in having fun in the game and enjoying it for what it is. Win, lose, or draw; the objective is to enjoy our selves. We'll do our best to guarantee that there will always be a group of folks ready to go out adventuring and exploring with. And all of our members will always be more than willing to help fellow guildies out. Pretty much a collection of mature folks who are looking for fun and adventuring without all the BS of a "normal guild".

We’ll be playing on a PvE server preferably with consensual PvP, player Housing is very important to our current members and eventually when implemented we are planning a OTG Player City

Right now we have over 250 members waiting for the release of DDO (Dungeon and Dragons Online) and many of them have expressed an interests in Vanguard: SOH.
We think of ourselves as more then a Guild we are more a collection of adult games that are mmorpg enthuses. Our members have come from games like UO, EQ, EQ2, COH, AC,AC2 and WOW

Once you are registered, fill out an application at the Old Timers Guild Recruiting Post.
After that, a Recruiting Officer will be in touch with you.

Her skin adorned with not only her tattoos, but also fresh totems, runes and symbols, painted on Mebrindrith’s flesh, like a canvas of natural earthen colours. Before her a simple fire that hissed and crackled, jumping and dancing as her musical voice rose and fell with each syllable of her consecration to Quercus.

I will add is that if you like to Roleplay that we have an excellent group of folks ready to roleplay with. Not only ingame but soon in pnp as well.. Welcome to the boards folks. I hope to make some decent progress on the Guild DB this week as my load at work is pretty clear. At that point I'd love your feedback on it.

Arachne the light purple font is pretty hard to read on my laptop screen. You might want to consider darkening it a bit. Just a thought.

I am in OTG but there seems to be a very heavy US membership at this time which could cause problems for we few Europeans.

Its definitely tough on a group of folks who arent in the same timezone as most of the rest of the guild. My guild is EST/CST based and our Euro/PST/Aussie members have trouble attending raids too. However I feel that having a broad spread of timezones represented can only strengthen a build given a lack of artificial restraints (WoWs 40 man cap) and allow them to operate effectively longer than more focused guilds. Just my two cents.

It's not that bad, except if you have a morning job. :P Just have to raid more in the afternoon than evening US time.

I tried raiding with an EST guild in WoW, and it just didn't work. I got home from classes every night about 30 mins to 1 hour too late to join anything, or I was put up against a bunch of tired folks when I was perfectly happy to keep going for another 2-3 hours. Le sigh. So yeah, if I ever raid in Vanguard, I'm most likely going to have to find a like-minded group of people in my time zone.

The Old Timers Guild had quite a large group in DDO beta and to celebrate a close to a successful end of the beta testing phase we had a big bash at the local pub.
But as you can imagine when you put Dwarves and alcoholic beverages together all sorts of memorable things can happen.
