7 Year old Guild comes to Vanguard - Hilsbury

The Order of the Silver Hand (TOSH) comes to Vanguard - Hilsbury... and is looking for a few new friends!

TOSH is a seven year old, multi-game guild that has had over a thousand members pass through its gates in close to 20 different MMORPG's since our inception on the Wintersebb server in Asheron's Call back in 1999. We currently have members playing in several different games, (VG, WoW, FFXI, UO) and welcome new faces and friends in each. We originally did not have definite plans to come to Vanguard, but after seeing what the game was all about, have dove in head 1st!

Because we didn't start playing in the pre-release and are not a "beta guild", most all of our members are new to the game and are still enjoying the freshness and newly found excitement of a new world and new characters. Additionally, although we are fast learners, (afterall, many of us have years of MMORPG experience!) since we are new to the game, with the exception of a few players, the core of our guild is still level 20 or below, so new players won't feel "left behind" and should have no trouble finding guild groups and getting to know the game amongst new friends. We won't look down on you if you're new to the game or starting your character fresh... we'll encourage you, and toss you a few toys and trinkets along the way!

Although we welcome players of all types, we've come to realize that there is no prize for getting to the highest level the fastest... it's the trip along the way that counts! The goal of our organization is and always has been to have fun and make some good friends as we go. We are not a crafting guild, but welcome and appreciate a good crafter... we're not powerlevelers, but some of our members certainly outpace the pack, and we're not a "PvE or PvP guild" either... although we can certainly hold our own in either arena! We're a very non-military guild with very few rules, because we don't feel the guild should determine how its members play the game. As long as our members are helpful, mature, (in actions, not age) and don't make the "TOSH/Silver Hand" name look bad to others, we feel they've upheld their part of the bargain. We certainly know our way around MMORPG's, and will not tolerate those who grief, kill-steal, scam, or ruin others enjoyment of the game.

In each game, The Order of the Silver Hand is a social guild offering friendship, information, and the benefit of our knowledge to all. We are organized, and although we have "leaders" and "officers", they're not there to tell you what to do, they're there to help you enjoy the game and your time as a TOSH member. We have a yearly "TOSH Real Life Family Reunion" once a year where we get together "Live" for good times. This year it is at the "Gen-Con" gaming convention in Indianapolis Indiana.

Members enjoy the added benefits of companionship and being able to participate in guild hunts, quests, and other organized events. We look forward to building "Silver City" somewhere within the world of Vanguard, and enjoying all of the elements that this new game brings to us. Our average member ranges from 25 to 40 years of age, but we've had children of members as young as 10-12 years old join us, as well as their grandparents. We have no required "minimum hours played"... in fact, we stress that "Real Life Comes First", and appreciate whatever time and resources you dedicate to the game and the guild.

We're a social guild, and although our forums have hundreds of members and between two and three thousand posts, we have over 50,000 posts on our old single-game forums. (they are all archived on our site) Some of our members spend more time at work posting on the forums than working, lol.
