Harmony of Nature ((RP Guild))

You stand in the street, listening to the wood elf.

"Long enough has nature been neglected by most peoples of Telon. Some trample on her beauty for their 'economy' and 'the good of their people'. Yet others completely ravage her in all her glory without a care--shoved aside for their own benefit."

His voice begins to rise.

"It is high time we stand up to this heresy! The time has surely come where we cannot watch this nonsense--this defilement--any longer! We shall NOT stand for such!"

He stops momentarily, calming himself with a slight hum.

"Nature gives us this life. Nature threatens to take it away. Nature replenishes our health and wellbeing. Then nature finally ends us. Nature is connected to each and every one of us, and each and every one of us connected to one another. She is what ties us all together in the intricate web of life, and can unravel it at a whim. And yet so many others pay no heed to such things.

"Species are driven to extinction by the others who 'need to build here--they will find elsewhere to live'. Some are vastly overpopulated, bred by the other races of Telon who toss away the very bonds of each of us without so much as a second thought.

"Nature is our life-giver; our healer; our nurturer; our ender; the Balancer of All. We can no longer stand aside idly watching such atrocities committed to the very core of all that is!"

He pauses, looking around the meager crowd, mostly elves, to see if any are paying attention. One human couple walks away. He draws in a fresh inhalation of air and continues.

"I am Aejorom Takanaju--Wood Elf Bard of Ca'ial Brael. I need to know if there is anyone here who sees what is happening. Is there anyone who is willing to stand up for nature and hold their feet firmly on her ground, not letting a single soul budge them? Is there anyone willing to cast off their bonds for nature? Elves! Heed your call of all you were born to be! Humans! Acknowledge the ways of nature that so many of you toss aside! All races! Halflings, gnomes, vulmani, even orcs!

"We must be the Harmony of Nature, flowing in her joyous perfection and balance and all that is! Is there anyone willing to be part of this harmony?

"Is there anyone?"

I have this idea for a guild dedicate solely to nature. This post by Chaotico got me to thinking, and when I was petting my dog I came up with this idea. It can be a guild with conflict (due to the dedication to nature), largely race-based (assuming the majority turn to be elves), and the ability to have all sorts of fun and varying role-playing opportunities!

NAME - I was thinking of a name, and I like "Harmony of Nature", but this is just one of plausible names. A few I have also contemplated on are: Bound by Nature, Nature's Defenders, Stronghold of Nature.
STRUCTURE - A largely loose structure seems appropriate. Six persons of the guild are in a head "circle" which will be dubbed a name--"Circle of Six", "Nature's Head", "Ruling Circle"--something along these lines. A head of the circle, and the other 5 have pretty much all the power the head does. This circle is also symbolic of the circle of life! The guild would be very much ruled by the people, with the circle making final decisions based for the guild based on what everyone seems to want. As I said, a very loose structure.
RANKS - Ranks will deem position within a guild, and are based off of animals. For example, if you are an Okami Wolf, you are just under the Circle. As a Bear, you are under the Wolves. Spiders are under Bears, and under them all (people being considered into the guild) is the Deer, or perhaps Mouse. A Hawk could perhaps be a person charged with the duty of keeping an eye on guild happenings and behavior. These ranks are in flux currently.
RP - A very heavy RP guild, nearly all /say and /shout being in-character. If guilds can create their own channels, perhaps a RP guild channel and a separate OOC chat channel.
SIZE - Mid-size I would say to be the goal. Small enough to be a "family-style" guild, yet large enough to fill the story of the guild.

The above IC post was to get a feel for this guild. The city is of choice--New Targonor, Ahgram, etc. The actual history of the guild would be different depending on how many and of which race we begin with.
