Problem with disabling combat music

If the combat music loudness is set to zero then the ambient music should normaly not interupted and reseted, but that's the case atm. Please make it so that, if combat music slider is set to zero, the ambient music will not interrupted and reseted by every fight.

I can't understand why you'd want to do this, but I won't get into that.

It's all one music stream, though. When the combat theme kicks in (which is a variant of the ambient theme, btw), it replaces the ambient theme - it's the way the music is coded, so while you're in combat, the combat music is still "playing", even though you can't hear it. When combat ends, it cycles back to the ambient music.

I guess what you're asking for is a way to disable the dynamic soundtrack (but why...?). I guess that might be doable.

Disabling music all-together is definately understandable. Either you need the performance, or you want to listen to your own stuff.

Removing only the combat music is what puzzles me.

I've had a similar issue, in that if you turn music to 0 (both of em), sometimes when entering or leaving combat, it'll pop back on even though it shouldn't. Rather annoying when you got winamp going in the background.

You can fix that by changing UseSound=True to false in your .ini file. That'll turn off sound all-together.

I suppose that's possible, but since it's just a variation on the background music, it's rather odd. It's not like there's one obnoxious combat theme that plays from level 1 up until 5th expansion raid encounters.

But I'm not dogging on Mitch. To each his own, but I am curious.

Hardly a "fix" when you just want to disable in-game music, not sound.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you wanted.

I went in to test this and found the same bug.

I stopped getting it when I changed these to 0.

CombatMusic=0.400000
AmbientMusic=0.400000
