46+ - Rahz Inkur / Afrit
First of all, you have to understand, that Rahz Inkur / Afrit choice is akin to Gorgalok choice. Not because you cannot do both (especially with Riftway nowadays connecting both together in 1 simple jump), but because you mostly have to chose one and stick to it, because otherwise neither will get done in any appropriate frame of time.
If you chose to do or want to learn more about Title zone, than read on. - There are 3 factions at work here - Slave, Var Efreeti, and RI Efreeti. Var is the faction you are most interested in, RIE faction will get trashed by killing stuff, and Slave faction just gets raised by quests and killing RIE. - Quests that matter: > everything from Deliverance Outpost (pure exp while familiarizing with the zone.) Deliverance is located directly West from middle of the city of Rahz Inkur in the dunes. > weapon questline from Afrit (which I am likely to describe in a different post as I complete it myself) > Various faction generating quests in Afrit. > "[time of day] of Zull" questline - starts off from Majordomo in middle of Afrit, and is named Night of Zull, becomes Dawn of Zull, and so on and so forth. This is your legendary helm questline with a clickie for AOE Taunt for Tanks. http://vg-en.curse-gaming.com/databa...t-of-the-zull/ Best progression from my experience: - Arrive in Deliverance at lvl 46-47 and get all quests you can. - Arrive in Afrit, only 2 quests are of real interest here - Night of Zull from Majordomo, and Weapon questline from one of the 3 NPCs by the cages (you cant get this one until you have the faction). - Start doing them, do not attempt to get inside the city, as a single mob is already a handful for a group at that level, and multi pulls and adds are rampant inside the town. If you got dual tanks and dual healers, you are in good shape - having that is MORE important than having DPS. If not - make sure you know who is kiting, because at that level tanking 2 mobs is extremely hard, they hit real hard at times. YOUR TASK AT THIS POINT - LOOT ENOUGH STONES AND BAGS TO SELL TO VAR EFREETI TO RAISE FACTION WITH THEM, TO GET A QUEST FOR WEAPON. The only way to raise this faction is to hand in bags, in effect doing handin quests from the Var Efreeti town south of Rahz Inkur. Every bag is 50 faction, you need to achieve at least neutral to get the weapon quest iirc. In any case keep checking back every night after you are done. - NOTES: > Afrit armor unless it gets upgraded is a WASTE of bags. It is all blue, up to tier3. If you have WoSM armor or even 1st tier of Gorgalok or even bought yellow armor - rest assured, yours is better. > Do not aim to complete quest for yellow necklace if you want to save up to 30 bags at a time (I think that is waste as well, a lot of rare very nice defensive necklaces have been dumped into market recently for a few gold a pop) > I happen to think that your best bet is to repetitively complete quest to keep getting 2 potions for 1 bag - those are THE ONLY CC in Rahz Inkur. Nothing else works. You either Kite, Tank, Use Potion, or Die, end of story. And sometimes, it is best to just use the potion. But due to nature of following quests when you come back to RI for more fun, you will be tempted to rather save all bags for really great items that open up with faction, but you will still be using the potions you bought to gain faction. I happened to spend about 30 bags on armor that is sitting in bank, and I am still forced to spend more bags for potions, I am weeping every time I have to do so. Do not be a fool, follow advice ) I only wish you the best hehehe - Once you get the faction needed, immideately abandon Rahz Inkur grind and go follow on the Weapon quest line into Nusibe Necropolis for a grind on quest and mobs there. Mobs are 3 dots unless you get very deep in there, there is a healthy 2-3 levels worth of much needed experience, and when you are done you come back to Afrit few levels higher, in your high 40s. RI is now a much closer reality than at 46-47, you will hit mobs harder, they will not hit you as much or as hard, you will hold aggro better and be able to stand up to 2 mobs. Levels are very important in Rahz. Very. Nusibe Necropolis notes: - as you enter: > main quest NPC is found like this, as you walk down the stairs into the necropolis: == enter the room, go across it, up the stairs, and than follow the right wall to pass a few turns and find a very large circular room. King is in the middle surrounded by large blue shining guys, very cool looking room. > supporting quest NPCs are found like this, as you walk down the stairs into the necropolis: == immediately after walking into the 1st room, turn right and walk into the room on the right, quests there. - you spawn named mobs as you kill off entire rooms, they spawn after some time. You know they spawned by a message you receive on your screen. - you will be getting yellow random dropped items, Shards and larger pieces (forgot the name). you need 3 larger pieces and 5 shards per person for later stage in the questline. Do not loot more, they are useless and you will be screwing yourself for longer farming for your comrades. - follow main NPCs directions and grab all satellite quests for max experience, this is a very straight forward quest line that rewards huge amounts of exp. - eventually quest returns you to Afrit. When you come back to Rahz, your priorities become: - Advance on Weapon Line - that will help you with everything else in Rahz tremendously, especially with weapon changes coming up in the patch to make it much deadlier to efreets, not just in words, but in action. They are also making the proc work on EVERYTHING else, just to a smaller degree. And you also have to assume that a cold proc will leave the mob chilled, allowing us to explore this vulnerability with Malice (hopefully I do not know if this will in fact happen). - Advance on "[time of day] of Zull" line - this is the most fun. - Notes: > You see Vials of Darkness Light Chaos and Order dropping, be greedy on them you need up to 15 of each type if you are solo or 15 of each for group if you are static. > Inside the city, you see blue clouds, called riftways in the corners, behind standing mobs, etc. When looted, they give you either Dust or Powder. 5 Dusts make 1 Powder. Combining Powder with appropriate vial yields a Beacon. You need 15 beacons to summon bosses in the questline. Need to summon 4 Bosses. If you are solo, you need 15 of each beacon (draw your conclusions on amount of farming you have gotta do), if you are static you are better off splitting duty on 1 type = 1 person, because one of preceeding quests yields 5 beacons of 1 of the 4 types, and you coordinate who takes what type of beacons, according to who was or will be looting apropriate type of rifts throughout your RI experience. > you see regular named and smaller named dropping Zull Efreeit Shard - using 5 of those will summon a boss. So distribute them to make sure a person in group comes up to multiples of 5. These guys drop Heroic level loot. > Guys summoned with 5 shards drop a Sigil of Aluul or Sigil of Djuul - 3 together of same type summon a major boss, that is virtually guaranteed to drop a kick ass item. Tired of typing now... good luck with this, post questions if any, below. Thanks for reading. |
