Patch notes on SOE sites first?

Shouldn't all patch announcements be placed on the the official SOE forums BEFORE the affiliate sites?

Up until the SOE transition, this was the official test server forum site and, thus, they were posted here first. Until the dust settles and the VG staff at SOE can actually plan ahead, I would expect to still see them here. SOE has a whole bunch of work to do to make this transition happen; it makes sense (at least to me) to delay changing test server processes and communication paths that seem to be working.

This is a personal observation and does not reflect any discussions between SOE and Pirotess about the future of Vanguard Spheres or affiliate sites in general.

I was wondering how that was going to work out, if there's going to be any kind of announcement or invitation to a Test server forum on station.com or anything like that?

SOE forums are the official forums and since patch notes are a form of official communication they should be on the SOE board ahead of any affiliate. WHo wants to run around to affiliate sites to look for patch notes. Sounds like new employees have forgotten that SOE now has an official web site for VG where official notices should be posted first.

I didn't see a test server forum on the new SOE forums, and we have a good test community already settled here. It was only Test notes that were posted here.

Until we're informed further, I believe we are still the test server forum. We have not been informed yet ... so... take it for what it's worth.

Careful there keth this sounds almost like a grumble from Vive. Fact is Vive that this is our home and test patch notes should not be released to a open site for perusal at will as somethings wont make it anyway so as far as i can see your point is moot as it should be a test community note not a world wide hey this is the patch because when it went to live and things did not make the cut then you would have yet more reason for inane posts about something that in the grand scheme of things over the last week dont really matter.

this is just my opinion and not that of the community.

The dust hasn't even begun to settle from recent events. Announcing that there WILL be official SOE forums doesn't instantly make it so -- and indeed, there's no Test forum there yet. Why, exactly, is it necessary to come here and be snarky to an affiliate site whose staff may or may not know what its status is going to be?

Sorry, I don't get it. Is this some sort of heavily disguised troll? The best place to make your complaint, surely, would be directly to SoE? Or do I not understand the OP?
