Re: Riftway Stones and Raiding
everybody just needs to befriend a bard. it only takes me about 20 min follow the qa river from one end to the other. (not counting aggro and such)
even with my dwarf and his beginner horse, he went from BC to 3R to NT in about 10 to 15 min. traveling can be a great part of the game too, but maybe that's just because i have a great guild and always a full group to just mess around with. we even form full groups to just run around and harvest for hours. |

Re: Riftway Stones and Raiding
I don't believe that easier travel favors the larger guilds in a competition over raid content. If there isn't enough raid content to go around, it's going to be a problem with or without easier travel.
Of course, right now with the miserably low server populations, there isn't any competition to speak of. There's more than enough content for everyone playing these days. And, IMHO, if they hadn't done something about the tedious, boring travel situation in the game, there wasn't likely to be many players coming into the game, or even staying in the game, for that matter. But, for the record, I don't like the riftway system. I think the travel issue should have been addressed in some other way. Specifically, better mounts. |

Re: Riftway Stones and Raiding
I disagree.. hardcore raiding guilds will always find the quickest way to wherever! with a bards, evacs, planned binding locations and other teleportation methods I really dont think the riftway's would make a huge amount of difference!
Pro raiding guilds (for want of a better term) will always be there first, no matter what you do! Personally Im loving the riftways! ok, so I only use the renton > deebs at the moment, but this has increased my scope of adventuring while not being too far away from anyone! which is great for a pvp server and great for keeping guilds closer together. In anycase, Im sure Sigil can tweak locations or maybe even add a time delay to riftway porting to resolve any issues like you have. |

Re: Riftway Stones and Raiding
What does that have to do with riftway stones and raiding?
What are you trying to say here? Riftway system is good because now you don't need the sloop? It's bad because your sloop is less 'meaningful'? Does your sloop have something to do with raiding? Very confusing... |
