Honestly somthing needs to be done with the Test log in. I try to play by the rules and use the interface as it's created.
1.) Because I'm lazy and
2.) because I think we should be testing and providing input from start to finish.

And what my finely tuned *snicker* testing ability is telling me, is the average joe shouldn't have to be able to write computer code (No offense Venti) to play on the Test server.



Oh yea and the servers down too much...

i agree, they should prolly have a test server .exe in the folder somewhere, as for the downtimes, well, thats to be expected on test servers to an extent (dont know how bad it is tho :P)

I changed the tutorial to use that shortcut instead of vangaurd.exe /testserver

Nam I love ya to death you have a damn hard job and you do it with style. Honestly you have more online presence than 9.99/10ths of the other games out there....But frankly while I understand your post (though I don't use it as I feel it's like cheating as vanguarg has desinged this method.) Is it possable to just have a shortcut added to the files that says "Hey click me to play on the test server!" ?

I know I'm a pain Nam but I want to help...so don't delete my characters!

With out an installer to create that shortcut I can't place a new one on your desktop for you to use. It becomes a manual process without the installer sorry.

Honestly "as it's created" the normal way of doing things only takes "say"...10 mins max doing it the way it's set up...and I'm a patient man.
