Anyway, back on subject anyone know how i can get my little button to click and work (that didn't come out right, lol) I asked over on support forums but they only seem to want to answer questions that were in addition to my original post. Thanks again.

Actually I did find an answer by one of the devs, that says:

There's a button under the "Station Players" link on the left side of the Vanguard LaunchPad that says "Test Server".

If you don't see it, then you may need to perform a "repair" using the North American version digital download installer that is found on our web site at:


http://vanguard.station.sony.com/en/install/

If setting up a separate icon doesn't work either, then I think we are stumped. I get the feeling no one else has seen your specific problem.

Becarful what you say to your computer, for Mine tested my mettle back in 96' to see if i really would. The Manager of my Apartments was very ticked at me since it almost landed on him from my secound story apartment. (never let your computer think your bluffing)

Usually when one person has a problem others have it. It may just not be talked about as much as not all people are interested in the test server. I don't know how to go about getting any help with this at all because no one at the support boards answers and don't know if /bug or /petition is appropriate.

Let's see if we can't get this figured out.

On your "normal" launcher the Test Server button does nothing, right? Meaning you don't download what you need to download in order to play on the test server?

So if I'm understanding the issue, Smoothbrain needs a fix which will allow him/her to get to the Test launcher - if we can figure that out, presumably the patching process and whatnot will do themselves automatically?

Can creating a new desktop icon pointing to ""C:\Program Files\Sony\Vanguard\Vanguard.exe" /testserver" instead of ""C:\Program Files\Sony\Vanguard\Vanguard.exe"" work, or is something else needed to get all this voodoo going?

The test server button on the normal patch screen didn't work for me either. Heres what i did:

Since im crazy and had plenty of room, i copied vanguard to another folder called vanguard_test. (please note that i dont think you have to do that but telling you exactly what i did just in case)

I then went and copied my vanguard shortcut, and renamed it vanguard_test.
I then right clicked, chose properties, and changed the target to:
"C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\LaunchPad\LaunchPad.exe" "/gamepatchpath:C:\Program Files\Games\Vanguard_test" /game:vanguard /noregion /realm:live /testserver /noversioncheck

all of that in the one line. I also changed the start in folder to direct it to the folder i called vanguard_test.

Then i just clicked on my link and voila! i patched and then was running aroung on the test sergver, much to frerra's dismay ;P

Please also not that i install all my games in a different place than the default folder so make sure you change the line up there to point correctly to where your game was installed.
