Make sure you copy your current Bin and Assets folders to BinTest and AssetsTest before you run the test patcher. Also modify a copy of your vanguard folder to include /testserver to go straight to the testserver patcher without having to go to the live one first. I suppose I'll try and put this into a formal tutorial doc today. Also make sure you have another 20gb free on your hard drive.

Note: Do not copy your folders over as advised by some people.

The final files you need are under 3 gigs, there is no excuse to copy over 17. Copying your folders will not prevent the files from being downloaded - you only download the files that are different.

I logged on, clicked the test server button, re-entered my login information and left the computer running for three hours. No sweat.

My beta characters are all there and I ran around near Khal for a bit.

A thread for people to organize times and places to meet and group would be very handy.


PS I'm still a member of my beta guild too, roster is there and everything. The only thing that is missing is the rank status so I'm not sure if I can invite anyone. Someone want to test that with me at some point?

Actually Lilith, the only reason why that was Recomended by people, was because it was originally entered as that by sony on one of the first test server updates.

The main Test server appears to be up, but the zone servers are down? if it works that way on vanguard,.. Currently you can click on your character and select play, and the message comes up that it is loging your character in, but the message that no start location found comes up.
