well..currently I have 8 beta characters that were carried over to test..all in varying levels. I even have a level 30 buffed character, ..have to say I am surprised that level didn't vanish, but anyhoo.

I guess what I am trying to say is I am ready to go with your scenario. :P

I even have some crafting and minor diplomacy skills on a couple characters if that means anything.

I don't have a problem with not being paid to play on the test server. I used to go on SWG's test server all the time..matter of fact it was nice to get away from live once and awhile. And no I didn't use the blue frogs.

So I don't see this as an issue for me at all. Perhaps it is your issue?

I would like to see this game improve...its why I signed up again. I was testing during closed..started in September. If I didn't want to do that..I wouldn't have participated.

Personal choice. If it bothers you to test for free..then don't do it. Simple enough.

Okay I want to add my own view here..EVERY single time I log on ..in any area I am the ONLY person there. lol

Might be due to the fact that sometimes I log on very late..and most people I would guess have work or school. There's no night crew?!? lol

There used to be in beta 3.0.

Oh well guess I'll just have to wait til this test server idea gets more popular as time goes on.

I wonder if vanguard test will ever have thier characters on the vanguard players website, like eq1 has, or will we be locked out like eq2 is.

I support the double XP senerio the best, it gives us a chance to move our characters along at a slightly faster rate and still be able to experience the game.

From EQ2 Test I have to say I DONT like the /buffmaster idea as when sony did that for the adventure pack release (the Island one, which I ended up not getting) we had tons of people show up just to do the Buff and try out the content but then like 1% of those wound up staying, most of the time we had people whinning and bugging everyone with tons of questions. It was seriously annoying. I know I saw people saying that the "buffer folks" were annoying in the fact they tended to muck things up and cause more problems then they helped solve. and for a community it is rather unsettling to have these half hearted one timers pop in just to leave. It left a sour taste with many as I recall.

I would like to see some sort of incentive to attract people to the testserver of course because that would deffinately help increase the population. But I am at a loss as to what to suggest myself (other than the double xp).

I do know I heard, a lot, that Sony wound up driving most of the test people away in EQ2, but I was not there to experience it myself so I am unsure what exatly it was. There toward the end (of my wife and I being there) the Community was great but Small in size and very difficult to do much with as it was so small.

As a tester I am here to hang with others of like mind, TESTERS, to help debug the game, to experience the new content and help shape it for the live servers. Testers tend to be the hardcore, "I am here for the game experience" people and have a sense of ownership in the game as we are the ones "working" to help improve it. At the same time we would like some stability, in the sense of being here for the long run, and wanting to be able to maintain a level of consistency with our characters and so forth. (Darn I hope that made Sense)

Over all, I am hoping, and crossing my fingers for a Strong Community here, one that lasts the years....

Sorry for going on and on but just felt I should say it..
