Re: my box

Very nice, I LOVE that Antec 900 case. Did you have to remove the internal fan frame to fit the video card in?

A friend of mine works as a server admin, and has been working with Vista for months. He says go ahead and get it, its stable and ready to go, the first time Microsoft has had the OS really ready at release.

Now, any suggestions on how to convince my wife I NEED that 900?

Re: my box

yeah i had to remove the inner fan assembly to fit my 7950gt. Its ok though, more than enough flow moving through there with 1 120mm and the huge 200mm fans pulling out.

I recommend this case more than anything because its the coolest (temp wise) air cooled case I've personally used. Granted I've never used a Thermaltake/Lian Li or any of those other really high quality cases. I bought this because it looked like the most logically setup for airflow, and its REALLY quiet for as many fans as it has.I'm currently sitting next to it .

IMO if you're considering some new stuff, if you have a AMD64 chip or something similar in the Intel line up, use the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 64. Quiet cpu cooler and works REALLY well .

edit: only reason I'm still waiting on vista is because Nvidia has very little support for it. Currently they only have a G88 series driver for it, which is hit or miss with the G7x series.

I'm guessing that your friend doesn't play games on his Vista computers?

Correct. The Vista machines he had were all at work, and he has not yet upgraded his home ones. Like most people, I think he plans to upgrade when he builds a new comp, not before.

His gaming machine at home is Linux.
