Re: My VG Rig
Nice rig, but what graphics settings do you have it set at to get those numbers?
Jealous because I get less then 10 most everywhere hehe.

Re: My VG Rig
High Quality is what I was using for that FPS. The game looks really nice at those settings. I tried the Highest Quality and had the same FPS, but in towns the video would freeze on me for a second off and on. The FPS never had a chance to go down, so the numbers were still high.
I'm going to test it out on Balance tonight. I rebuilt the O/S last night so I didn't get a chance to play. I wanted a clean install since I knew what was needed this time around. Everything was running better on it last night, so maybe the game will run better too. |

Re: My VG Rig
I played for awhile last night and everything is running much nicer. The first time I go to certain places, it appears to take a little longer to load and the FPS drops to about 40 for a second or two. After that, it jumps back up.
I decided to turn off my Over-Clocking and put it back down to 2.13 for awhile for testing. I lost about 10-15 FPS off my normal, so the OC doesn't appear to be that important. I then lowered my video settings to "Balance" and everything still looks nice. That also raised my FPS back up. Last night I was seeing mostly 80-90 in most areas. I didn't notice the average for towns, but like I said approve, it was down to about 40 for a couple seconds whenever I went somewhere new and crowded. |

j/k I get like avg. of 9 FPS in most "outdoor" areas, and I have now idea in towns as w/ stuttering I offen get I don't get a steady number lol. I still think the game is great, just can't wait to upgrade my system.

Re: My VG Rig
I plan on closely mocking this system. I'm debating on the case you're using now or this Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower. My only worry was housing the 8800GTX in the Antec, but if you've got one inside, I'm that leaning more towards using that. My budget will be as close to $1750 as I can get. I'll let you know what I plan on doing in a future post here in a bit... Thanks for the information!
Edit: Here's what I'm wanting in that same case!
